Hyatt has announced that they will extend the current status for members based in the Asia Pacific region. If your status currently expires on 2/28/21, it will be valid through 2/28/22.
Suite night and free nights awards that expire in 2020 will be extended through 12/31/21.
Hyatt is also evaluating extensions for members who make frequent stays in the Asia Pacific region.
I think other airlines and hotel chains will likely join this bandwagon, but kudos to Hyatt for acting quickly to make this announcement!
Hyatt sure seems to be the only hotel chain that still “gets it” when it comes to loyalty.
Will switching my personal or biz address make me eligible for this. My Globalist is going away 🙁
wow just terrible.
😉
I’m a Marriott and a Hyatt diamond member all they say is we have no upgrade sorry so the whole status thing is a waste of time. Maybe Dan tells them I have a website and it works for him but most regular guys shouldn’t bother with status.
Considering Marriott and Hyatt don’t have a diamond level, I’d say you’re doing something wrong 😀
Dan,
You are correct I have the Marriott Gold status and the Wyndham Diamond and have never been upgraded. I venture to say by in large the only people who get upgraded are the sweet talking guy who slip the front desk clerk a couple of bucks.
Neither of those come with upgrades.
