I bought this but everyone should know that it comes with Windows S Mode which limits you to Microsoft applications you can download and very hard to get Chrome and zoom

    • Moe

You can switch out of S mode to standard Windows.

I believe switching it out of S Mode is a 5 min process, no?

It is very easy to switch from S Mode to standard Windows 10 Home. It’s done by an app in the App Store.
    Go to Settings.
    Then select Update & Security.
In the left sidebar, click Activation.
Then click “Go to the Store.” …
Press the “Get” button under the “Switch out of S Mode” section and wait for the process to complete.

Windows 10’s S Mode is optional. It doesn’t cost anything to switch, but it is a one-time decision—once you’ve taken the PC out of S Mode, you can never put it back into S Mode.

    • Ben from Rockaway

Yes I tried that of course as well as I was on the phone with Microsoft technical support which they couldn’t even figure out how to get it out of S Mode which prompted me to return the device

To leave S Mode, open the Store app on your PC and search for “Switch out of S Mode.” The Store will guide you through taking your PC out of S Mode.
