You don’t even get baggage on the lowest TWO fare classes, blue basic and blue, so to say you get double the baggage for adding an extra seat is very misleading- there would be no reason to buy a second ticket under the blue plus fare, because the money you’d spend on the extra cost of the fare would way exceed the cost of just adding a bag yourself. I see no reason why not to just book a second ticket under the blue basic fare if you really want a seat next to you.
No carry on bags allowed…
wear a few coats and stuff the pockets. just arrive an hour early in case security want to check you for more time.

Wonder if they pull bait and switch….had a good booking to LAS but when it came time to check out I couldn’t sign in …tried again and again then cart changed to sold out ….a$119 ticket changed to $304 in front of my eyes!
