Signup For An Aegean Account And Get 6,000 Miles!

Enroll for a new account before 11/29 at 4:59pm EST and you’ll get 6,000 redeemable miles and 1,000 elite qualifying miles instantly!

Aegean is a Star Alliance member, you can view their Star Alliance award chart here.

Aegean allows you to transfer points between accounts for just 15 Euros. However they now require that you credit a Star Alliance flight to your account before you can transfer miles. There is a limit of 50K points that you can receive or transfer within a period of 12 months.

Aegean considers Israel to be part of Europe/North Africa, so you can book a one-way between North America and Europe (including Israel) for just 35K miles in coach or 55K miles in business!

Theoretically that means that 5 members can credit a flight to Aegean and combine their points into one account for 75 Euros and have enough miles for a one-way coach ticket on United between the US and Tel Aviv.

Another option is that you only need to fly Aegean twice and earn 12,000 elite qualifying miles, or earn 24,000 elite qualifying miles from any airline, to get Aegean Silver status. Silver status allows you to pool the miles of 6 family members together for free.

Once upon a time I was able to combine Avios accounts when they had a new account offer to get free first class tickets for the family on Cathay Pacific to Vancouver and on AA to Argentina. 😀

Alternatively you can transfer 4,000 Aegean miles into 1,500 Accor points. If you get 2,000 Accor points you can get 40 Euros off your Accor or Fairmont hotel stay.

Aegean does not charge fuel surcharges to fly on Air Canada or United.

A flight within Europe/North Africa (including Israel) is just 15K miles in coach or 25K miles in business class each way.

A flight within North America is 12.5K miles in coach or 21K miles in business class each way.

You can transfer 60K Marriott points into 25K Aegean miles.

Aegean only charges 20 Euros to change or cancel an award ticket and there are no close-in fees.

Aegean miles expire after 5 years, but if you credit any Star Alliance flight to Aegean your points will be extended by another 5 years.

Doesn’t fly from the US? Why doesn’t any US airport show up when selecting “Preferred airport” in sign up?

    • Dan

They do not. But they partner with United.

Thank you Dan and happy Anniversary

Aegean detected a pre-existing account, even though it had a different email and different address. I guess they match name and birthday.
