Simple- winodws 8 is not optmized for a mouse. It needs a multi touch trackpad at the very least.

Just get a Mac. None of the stupidity of Microsoft changing everything for the stupid. Remember Windows ME, then Vista, and now Windows 8? All epic failures. They never learn from their mistakes.
bought a dell with windows 8 when amazon had the $100 dollar gc but returned it because with out touch windows 8 is horrible. imo
Sorry guys.. that’s just a computer glitch. dell’s system automatically says recommended on every add on that costs more. of course they do recommend because this will higher their income…
and by the way dell is in fact pushing windows8 as shown on their homepage.
You can’t use “just the desktop part” of Windows 8, because some settings and other things are only in the “Start screen” side of Windows 8 and not in the “desktop part”.
