@Not a Techie: The HP comes with a optical drive but does not have an Intel processor. The Dell also seems to have better battery life
This computer seems to be the best of the ones Dan has posted recently. It has a much slimmer design, backlit keys, and most importantly actual battery life. Most of the standard garbage Windows laptops last about 30-60 minutes on the battery once you get past the first 3 months on the battery. This one seems more promising. You typically have to get much closer in cost to the 4 digits to get a laptop that actually works well with good battery life.
