what are ‘first spouse coins’?
ok a quick google search tells me they are gold $10 coins made by the mint starting in may 2007. they have the presidents wives on them. they are pure gold (.9999) 24-karats and the metal is worth far more than $10.

so who got them for cheaper? And how?

they sold for allot more then $10 something over $400 each.. there where four types and each family/address was allowed 4 of each (maybe 5..) diffrent privat collecters and mints addverstised… like we saw for the past couple weeks on shmais.com
that you purchuse the coins for them (since they aren’t allowed to order more then 4) and they would pay you.. plus an extra percentage
you can no longer buy the coins since they are SOLD OUT but you could have made an easy 2 K.
The coins that were released are the first of a series. The mint plans on releasing new ones every year (schedule here)

is it halachicly permissible, that after a coin dealer got you to buy coins for him with an agreed upon compensation for your ‘service’ – are you aloud to turn around and not sell it to him – rather to a higher bidder (you would of never known to buy it on your own + you gave him your word?).
