should i be looking for 2 one ways or round trip?

  2. EdAvi

Can these tickets be upgraded to business?

  3. Sam

How do I book for 2 parents and 4 kids?

    • Andrew Lock

Trying to figure out the same.

      • Dan

I would make up an older birthday for them and make 3 reservations of 2 passengers.

Birthdays aren’t printed on tickets and you won’t run into unaccompanied minor issues as you’ll be flying with them.

        • Anon

Only make up fake birthdays when the kids don’t have Global Entry or TSA PreCheck?

          • Dan

Kids don’t need PreCheck numbers, they can go in with their parents.

You can also call in to correct the birthdays if you want.

          • Kay

Isn’t that only until age 12?

          • Dan

Yes, but 13 and older can fly unaccompanied for free.

      • litanya

I just booked for 1 parent and 2 kids. made one reservation with me and one child, then booked one ticket for my other child and it asked for the confirmation code of my ticket in order to link them. Had no problems with accurate birthday.

  4. Jess

Doesn’t Amex gold also give 3 points per $?

    • Dan

Yes but without all of the Chase travel protections.

  5. JS

How do I book this? Can I book through Chase?

    • Dan

No, via the link in this post only.

  6. steven

I booked 5 tix, thanks Dan! total $530!!

  7. Zee

It’s only taking off 50% off of one ticket when I book two.

    • Dan

Working fine for me. Just tried JFK-LAX on 1/8 and it’s $56 with the code.

      • Zee

Mine is coming up as $132. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Do you just reserve two tickets?

        • Dan

          No, 1 passenger.
          Are you using the code?
          What date?

          • Zee

            Oh. That must be it.

          • Zee

I’m sorry, still don’t understand. When do I add the second traveler? I looked for one ticket, found out for the low price. When do I get the second one free?

          • Zee

Thanks for all your help, by the way!

  8. Shaina

Book lax-JFK, $56 in each direction for me and my huz. Thank YOU, Dan!!!

  9. carlos

Dan, why can’t I book a ten year old and 7 year old on one reservation and then my wife with another kid and me with another kid ? I meeting $265.20 for two RT JFK to LAX with ability to pick seats

    • Dan

It probably won’t let you book a 7 and 10 year old without paying an unaccompanied minor fee.
      Hence make them older…

  10. carlos

thanks , I got four and then price jumped not its $276 per person. not such a great deal after first four . your still the man

  11. hvaces42

Booked entire family of 6 nonstop JFK-LAX RT for midwinter 7:30am Tuesday to Motzei Shabbos late flight. $795 Waitlisted for First due to status match 😉

  12. alaska

Does anyone have recent experience if the Amex platinum $200 credit work for tickets under $100? (If I buy a $56 ticket, does it get refunded?)

    • Dan

Tickets under $100 often get refunded. YMMV.

  13. Dan1

is this dead? not letting me put in the BOGO50 code

    • Dan

Working for me. Read the rules in the post.

  14. WaterLiliNYC

I booked 2 pax for SFO-JFK one way with code for $132 total. Is that right?? Roundtrip is $264 a person.

    • WaterLiliNYC

Oops. Nvmd. $264 total for roundtrip for 2 pax…so it’s right, $67 each way per person. Thanks.

  15. Shmuel

Any chance of getting free first bag for 6 passengers traveling with me on the same flight since I’m booking with the Alaska CC… Even though I’m booking separate itineraries of 2-2-2 to get the current discount?!

    • Dan

Can’t hurt to ask the check-in agent.

  16. joel2

Dead ”50% off of one seat”

      • Dan1

I tried ORD-SEA and its charging me for 2 people $345.22, which is $87/pp per leg, so no BOGO

  17. DaveHanson

SEA-BOS is not a qualifying route. Typo in OP?

  18. Mike

Dan, do you think that letter that Delta supposedly sent out to someone calling him out on using HUCA is real?

    • Dan

Looks fake to me. Or maybe sent by a rogue agent.

  19. Ari

How many tixs I need to purchase for it to be $56 from jfk to lax?

  20. chav

i cant find any tickets for 56$ jfk-lax any ideas?

  21. Steve

Jfk-lax showed $56. When I went to book within 20 minutes the price jumped to $67 for saver fare. So basically a $20 jump R/T per ticket. Booked 4 tix $530 R/T. Just concerned that the free carry on is based on limited space. Will they charge me $ if there is no room in the overhead and it needs to get checked in below? Thanks Dan..your my “unofficial” travel agent for most of my trips!

  22. ZG

    4 tix JFK-LAX for 610. Thanks Dan!

  23. tzvi

where and when do i apply the discount code? hasnt come up on website yet

  24. united

Seeing $99 fares EWR-LAX on United. For me the $30 savings is not worth the hassle to fly out of JFK, plus gas/tolls/parking
    Just saying…

    • El

booked LA – JFK in main cabin, $300 for 2 round tix. Sweet!

  25. D

Thanks! Booked 2 seats JFK-LAX in Jan, $84 a pop.

  26. SrullyG

Thanks, Just Booked two tickets in January EWR – SAN $300 Average Pay $500 for one ticket in April/Oct

  27. sarah lagnado

If one bought a ticket and somebody changes his mind about going, can one transfer the ticket to some other member of the family with the same last name? If so, how does one do it? I have till midnight tonight to either change or cancel.
    Thanks.

  28. Albert

Do I need a passport to fly domestic?
