Southwest $49-$129 Nationwide Sale, Flights From Just 2,524 Points!

Southwest Route Map

Southwest Low Fare Calendar

Southwest is having one of their best sales of the year, with flights costing either $49, $79, $99, or $129 each way. Other airlines are also matching their fares.

Southwest still offers 2 free checked bags. Plus you can cancel revenue tickets with no charge and use the funds for a future flight. Point reservations can be cancelled for free with the points redeposited into you account.

If you have previously booked Southwest tickets you can even get a refund for the difference!

When Southwest has a sale the points needed for a free flight also go on sale as Rapid Rewards is a revenue based program.  A one-way short-haul flight can be had for just 2,524 points-a value of 1.72 cents per point

You can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points instantly to Southwest at a 1:1 ratio.

If you earn 110K Southwest points in a calendar year you’ll earn a companion pass that allows you to bring a companion with you for free whenever you fly Southwest, even if you are flying on a free ticket! There is no limit to the number of free companion flights that you can take and the pass is valid until the end of the following calendar year. Earnings from credit card signups and credit card spending (though not point transfers) even count towards that!

  • Book by 10/4
  • Travel between 11/28-12/19 or 1/3-2/13.

EWR to PHX for 8,836 points!
Even Sunday seems to be pricing out at that price for the date I’m looking at.

  2. Jack

If I book a business class seat can I take a companion business?

    • Dan\'s the Man

They don’t have Business class. It’s a “business” ticket but it’s the same econemy seat.

    • Sam

Yes, however there is no business class on southwest. Just early boarding and a few other small perks

    • sholey klein

There is no business on swa

    • Neil

Yes, and they often have specials where you can get bonus points (i.e. extra 30% more if you buy more than 5K points).

    • Neil

I wouldn’t pay any money to fly this airline, given their recent track record.
