Taxes to Africa are pretty high: flights from Washington D.C. have about $265 in tax.
You must search for 2 passengers to get the deal.
I’ve found $0+ fares from Boston, Las Vegas, and Washington D.C. to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. There are other valid US departure cities as well. There may also be other valid destination cities in Africa.

Hey, long time comment. Can I use the ticket to fly ti rome and just stay there and catch the plane back to the US on the way back? or they wont let me off the plane as its not a plane change in Rome? please advise.

Whats to do in Addis Ababa?
It works from JFK with an airline change in DC (IAD).
The domestic portion of the trip is on United or Delta.
From there it is Ethiopian Airlines with a stopover in Rome – no plane change so Yossi can’t stopin Rome- BTW from past experience if you don’t finish the entire trip you lose the return portion.
Did anyone successfully book this flight? I’m trying to but can’t seem to find any open dates. Help please?
Like Louie said, you cannot even get off the flight if there is no plane change and you cannot use a ticket after not having flown on an earlier segment.
So who’s ganna risk their lives flying Ethiopian Airlines for $265?

i have been to eithiopia on a stop over to south africa its a cool third world country but if you want to go to south africa fly to eithiopia for basically nothing and from there you can probally get a much cheaper ticket to south africa
