Delta is having an unpublished flash sale for awards from most US cities to many destinations in Central America, Mexico, And The Caribbean. The expiration date for this sale is unknown.
The best way to find valid origin and destination cities is by trial and error. Just use Delta’s desktop site, and toggle the flexible award calendar to display 5 weeks of availability at a time.

FB Promo rewards currently have HAV to Europe for 30k RT. Add that to the 16k for JFK -> HAV and you have 46k RT, very slightly better than their standard 50k.
Plus the extra taxes makes this a silly plan.

As someone who doesn’t live in a hub city, Delta seems to be allowing the sale fares only on lengthy connections of approximately 4+ hrs. On a long trip, it’s not a big deal, but otherwise you are wasting a lot of time in the airport rather than at your destination.
Plenty of nonstop availability, just toggle the calendar to nonstop as I did in many of the images in this post.
But I don’t live in a DL hub so, I have to connect to get anywhere.

Stay in an Airbnb!! Way cheaper and you get so much more of an experience! Also easier to heat up the double wrapped meals you bring with! We went last June and had the BEST time!

I booked two flights using my Delta points to two different locations expecting to cancel one within 24 hours, but now that I’m trying to cancel it it says I need to pay a 150$ “redeposit fee” to get my miles back even though it’s still within the 24 hour time period
