Delta is launching a premium economy cabin (slightly better than typical domestic first class) and business class suites between JFK and Tel Aviv starting on January 15th.

You can book a closed business class suite with doors for just 105K Delta Skymiles each way. That’t not a bad deal for a currency also known as Skypesos!

You can also transfer AMEX points to Delta miles at a 1:1 ratio with no excise fees this year!

Alternatively you can transfer 60K Marriott points into 25K Delta miles.

JFK-Tel Aviv nonstop Delta One award calendar:

Note that on Mondays and Thursdays from JFK to Tel Aviv, and on Tuesdays and Fridays from Tel Aviv to JFK, Delta is operating 2 flights. The evening flight is on the new A330-900, and the daytime flight is on the old A330-300 that does not feature business class suites. Starting in April they plan to operate 2 daily flights.

Besides for the flight times, you can tell which one to book as the A330-900 flight says “new aircraft” and says “Delta One suites” instead of just Delta One:

You can also book premium economy for 84K miles:

But if there’s availability for Delta One suites for 105K, I’d highly recommend the extra 21K miles splurge!

Delta is allowing free cancellations on all award tickets booked through 9/30 for travel anytime, so you can book these now and cancel to get your miles back anytime before flight departure for free!

Will you book any Delta award travel on their new business class suites or premium economy cabin to Israel?

What’s the best way to book with Chase points?

    • Yandmk

As revenue, via the Chase travel portal.
From TLV should be about 175k RT and from NYC about 246k RT

Dan, I actually had already booked this for the end of April, a while back. Is there any chance that we will see in improvement in the kosher meals that Delta provides, like we have seen at United, and some more options int the business lounge ?

I’d like to travel with my married daughter, can I book her an award ticket using my delta points from my delta account if we are flying together? And if she travels herself, would that be a problem?

I booked in delta one for end of April on the night flight and online it says that the aircraft is a A330-300, do you know if it’s just an error or the changed it back to the old one?
