Momondo (Tznius disclaimer) has one-way fares from Tel Aviv to Miami on TAP Portugal for just $70.

Flights have a 3 hour connection in Lisbon. The US isn’t accepting foreign nationals who have been to Europe in the past 14 days, but you can transit without entering Europe and still enter the US.

The only non-Shabbos date that this price is valid for is September 21, which means flying the wrong way on Tzom Gedaliah.

The fare is also valid on September 4, 11, 18, and 25, arriving into Miami on Friday night.

Note that TAP Portugal has suspended all flights to Tel Aviv through August 31st and that may be extended.

    Love the tzom gedaliyah addition.
Attention to detail keeps this site above all.

    where is the Tzniut disclaimer?

      • united

Is it for that website, or for miami?

Considering the flights are likely to get cancelled, I’d say it is a good bet if you are looking to fly in the future.

What do you mean? Are you saying that if it gets cancelled, we’ll be able to re-book for any date later, for free, in lieu of a refund? Making this essentially $70 for any day we want and we can decide later??

Just got an email 30 minutes ago that my flight scheduled for September 21st was cancelled. I was banking on this happening and hoping to get the open ended ticket for $76 ($6 for the kosher food add on). They give an option for an open Ticket/Voucher going to email back to find out more details. Alternative options are to rebook now via telephone (good luck getting someone on the phone) or a refund.

Who said anything about a quarantine?

        • Chuchim

It really isn’t an advisable thing to do

It’s not a problem if you arrive from anywhere in the world into the US. Nobody cares. The problem is if you arrive from 22 states to New York. Nobody cares besides for Cuomo

It’s a scam- do not buy…they collect money, then cancel flights and then major headache to get money back!

That’s why you should stick with ElAl ;P

      • Shmoogrr

Yes, now is the time to buy tickets on ELAL.
Hopefully soon Rosenberg will buy it off, And at least you will know who to go to for a refund 🙂

In regards to transiting Europe, I have received conflicting information with the cdc saying entry would be allowed – even for non US citizens.
    However here is a direct quote from OSAC EU;
Thanks so much for reaching out. The policy as we understand it is that those people even transiting through a Schengen country will not be allowed to come to the USA. It would be good to call your airline and have them put you through a different route that doesn’t take you through Europe.
I didn’t take the chance. Bhatzlachah

That’s if a non-US citizen enters Schengen AFAIK.
If they don’t, it should be fine.
