Does the trip need to originate in the US?

  2. username

Using the CSR card, what is the cancellation policy?

  3. Ken

    What about the preferred card?

    • Zack

It would cost a lot more points with Preferred instead of Reserve, as everything else does.

  4. moshe

tried 2-2/2-13 not getting this price

  5. Joey

I tried a few dates using my CSR travel portal. I cannot get the 53k point option

  6. jonny

    Btw Dan,
Not sure if you noticed, United started requiring a Sunday AND Monday stay in TLV this winter to book lower fare classes. You can check out the fare rules on ita for more details

  8. Ben

    • Dan

I spent so much time finding all dates that it died within minutes of posting.
Clearly I can’t win either way.

      • DB

Aww didn’t mean to minimize your hard work!!

  11. AJ

Next time Dan please just post the deal – we can search for our dates… so we have more time to book. No one seemed to have gotten this 🙁

    • Dan

      I’ve done that.
Then there are 500 comments calling the deal #FakeNews

As I said, it’s a no win situation. Either I post too many or too few. Or both as can be seen from comments on this post.

      • noah32

I hear that. Maybe just post that the deal works and you’ve checked certain dates to know for sure. Maybe post a few samples. No need to post all of them. Let US do a little work:)

does that mean that United stopped flying from Newark to Israel?
who bought their planes? is Elal taking over those routes? and planes?

  15. s

12/12 to 12/19 on Priceline for $878. Still a good price

  16. s

And 12/4 to 12/11 which is Chanuka, for $878 United Direct.

  17. s

Dan i see many dates for that price

  18. Jay

I didn’t get the 805 price, but I had just booked a ticket (not for the precise dates you showed) for 1079. Went on line and booked it again for 878. Cancelled the other ticket, no problem. HOWEVER, I also made as reservation 5 days ago for another flight to Israel in December. Fare was again 1079. I followed your suggestion about getting a voucher for fare drop, as that flight also now prices at 878. Called United. That rule, re the voucher for fare reductions only applies if you bought the original ticket within 30 days (No problem there) AND if you bought it directly from United, on line or on the phone with them. They won’t give you a voucher if you bought it from a travel agent. That stinks!
