I am closing my Amex Gold charge card, and I have 95,500 MR points, so I was thinking of transferring it to True Blue, and getting a Amex Jetblue credit card so they don’t expire in a year…
My question is, the not expiring is before you reach the 100 points, but once you reach the 100 points it automatically issues an award.. and the award must be redeemed within a year, so does having the Amex Jetblue credit card extended the life an award or just the points????… (before the award gets issued)
Amex refuses to let me trade in my Delta Plat. for a Starwood (i’d like to retain my card number, account etc). They claim it isn’t possible.
They do however invite me to upgrade one of my (other) Starwoods to a Delta Plat.
Anyone have any insight on how to go about getting this done?
