While not nearly as comprehensive as Jetblue’s companion sale, it appears that American Airlines has matched the fare on limited routes.
It’s a good deal if you’re a mileage chaser, you will get the regular mileage for the flights and online booking bonus for about 6,000+ miles.
Plus AA has a west coast promo:
1st flight: 1,000 extra bonus miles
2nd: 2,000 more(total of 3,000)
3rd: 3,000 (total of 6,000)
4th: 4,000 (total of 10,000)
Etc. up to 8 flights (total of 32,000)
So with just 1 flight at this price you can be about 1/3rd of the way to a free ticket!
Anyway i found the match checking for 2 people on aa.com (search by fare) from bBurbank or Long Beach, CA to New York/Laguardia for $109+tax, the same date rules apply, and some days are sold out, so you may have to try it a few times to get the price.
Other cities i have noticed in the match are Oakland, Seattle and Boston, but I’m sure other cities are also involved…

you just have to play around with different cities and dates until you find it…make sure you are searching for 2 adults and searching by fare…
