Capital One Venture And Savor Cards Now Earn 5x On Uber Eats Through January 2021
From today through 1/31/21, you can earn 5 miles per dollar or 5% back when using a Capital One Venture or Savor card for Uber Eats.
That’s a nice promo, but you can do better.
You can always use a Chase Ink Business Cash Card to buy Uber gift cards from an office supply store such as Staples.com. You can then load that balance onto your Uber account for use on Uber or Uber Eats. That will earn 5 Ultimate Rewards points per dollar spent, which are worth much more than 5 Capital One miles or 5% back. For example if you, an authorized user, or anyone in your household has or will get a Chase Sapphire Preferred or Chase Sapphire Reserve you can transfer those points into airline miles or hotel points or use them for paid travel with a 25% or 50% bonus. Currently you can even pay yourself back for dining, grocery, and home improvement purchases at a value of 1.5 cents each.
Which card do you use for dining/restaurant delivery purchases?
Dan. Especially in post Covid, I prefer the protection of a credit card instead of a gift card which the vendor may or may not refuse to refund money for non service.
Depends on the merchant, no?
Uber Eats has also been very good about taking care of any issues. Same goes for plenty of other gift card options, like Amazon.
Sometimes you’re in a pickle and need uber now but can’t make it to staples. Load up your uber cash balance using the uberEats app were you’ll earn 5% and off you go in the uber ride. Essentially a 5% discount on uberEats is also a 5@% discount on regular uber .
You don’t need to make it to Staples. You can order from Staples.com.
