While the terms don’t officially allow for gift cards, you will get reimbursed for physical gift card purchases, based on experience. Unfortunately, those are only sold for a minimum of $150 online, so you would effectively get a 33.3% discount on those. Online eGift cards won’t work.
However, you can buy $50 gift cards in Saks Fifth Avenue stores and those will be reimbursed in full based on my experience. Gift cards are valid for use at Saks and Saks OFF 5TH.

Saks hasn’t shipped something we ordered 12/27, we got the Amex email but would I be right to guess if it ships 1/1, it’ll get billed that date and then we’ll use up the first $50 of 2019?
