    Love this deal / idea
Now is the BEST time to go show support.

  2. Leah

It’s Christian I do not suggest anyone to go

  3. Anonymous

Just so you know, the tour includes churches. I also wonder what the crowd on the bus and the tour guide will be like…
Maybe you can skip the tours, and it would still be worthwhile for the airfare & hotel…

  4. Anonymous

It also includes a visit to the Har Habayis.

  5. Question

theres no way this would me considered a groupon local deal right?

  6. Anonymous

No one is forcing you to go on every part of the tour.

Try calling and asking what else can be done.

  7. Anonymous

@Anonymous: Exactly. I just don’t want anyone to assume that since it’s posted here it must be a yiddishe zach.

  8. Anonymous

I’m sorry, who CARES if it’s Christian?? If it’s the only way to get people here, well so be it! A little pathetic that all the groups that have been coming to show support have NOT been Jews.

  9. Mark

Whaddaya mean? A good deal is a yiddishe zach! 🙂

  10. Groupon

@Reuv: Found your answer under Questions: The Flights from JFK are on Turkish Air.

  11. Dan's the Man

You can get 5,000 Ultimate Reward points per person if you buy enough Groupon gift cards from Staples using your Chase Ink credit card to cover the $999. Of course then you give up some credit card protections that you would get with your card.

If you’re flexible and the dates work well for you it’s a pretty good deal.

  12. Ministry

It’s the Israel ministry not Cristian… Look it up in the news

  13. Nighthawk700

Just Google: “israel tour ministry groupon” and you’ll see several articles about this being an effort from Israel. If only the kids were old enough to take themselves to school for a week… 😉

  14. hvaces42

@Anonymous: if you’re dreaming that the Christians are there to support Israel and not their theology you’re Just dreaming.

  15. ben

do you have to go on ANY of their tours? can we tag along for the airfare and hotels?

  16. G

@hvaces42: Does it really matter? Christians are better supporters of Israel than most of the lefty Jews

  17. Mimi

Can the return date be extended?

  18. Fyi

Just called them u need to book the whole ITENIRARY u can’t just do part of it

  19. think

now when all the people cancel the flight its time to buy for cheap

  20. phil

    all the tours cost extra…eh

  21. hvaces42

@G: Um, yes. it does matter what their motivation is. “Witness people” etc.

  22. MM

some of the transfers from city to city occur on Shabbos…so even if you are not doing their daily tours/excursions, you still need to be part of their overall tour, so need to select the dates you book carefully to avoid any conflicts with Shabbos (e.g. Wednesday night departures transfer from Tel Aviv to Galil or Teveriah on Shabbos).

  23. Gate 1 travel

It’s an Israeli owned company…. go figure

  24. t

    from groupon
Do you have to join the group for everything? For example, what if instead of staying in the hotel one night, we want to stay at friends?
    Alana E. asked on Oct 22, 2015

    A:
A long as your Tour Manager is notified prior. Please note there is no refund for any unused features or hotel nights.

  25. jake

all flights leave 1:40pm from JFK beware of shabbos flights

  26. lewis calderon

Please note that most flights are on Shabbos. The travel agent will accommodate a later flight but it could cost anywhere from $110 or more (Turkish) to $250 or more (EL AL direct) Still a good deal but keep that extra money in mind when you book.

  27. Yosef

If you choose the $431 flight from yesterday, for two people, that would give you $1138 to spend on hotels, food, and tours. I think that is a smarter move than being fixed to a tour schedule, and hotels (as well as a group of people you might not like) for $2000.

  28. kay

For $108 you can upgrade to El-AL flights and the leave and return on a Wed.

  29. Ruthy Creed

For shabbos the dates that flights leave on Wed. is ok. However note it is turkish airline with a 2hr 40 min stopover in Istanbul both ways. For departure of 1/27/15, they take you to a hotel in Tel Aviv for Thursd night and leave on Friday with some touring on the way to get to the Prima Galil in Tiberias. They do not guarantee you will arrive before Sun down for Shabbos, but you can skip their bus and go to Tiveria on your own. Shabbos is at the Prima Galil in Tiveria with no lunch and no tours, so you are on your own. The last 2 days is at Prima Park in Jerusalem..all tours are optional and cost extra if you go.mind you the whole 8 days you get 6 breakfast (6 night hotels) and only 2 dinners. I dont know if all this would work for me.

  30. Myra Lanter

is the Cinema Hotel in Tel Aviv kosher? Are the 2 dinner meals kosher? I spoke to someone at Gate 1 who was clueless. BTW, if you check their published itinerary, you can see that they do advise which tours are optional and not included in the price.

  31. mike

@ Gate 1 travel, not surprising, that the Israeli gov’t would rather accommodate and protect the lives of atheists,Muslims, Christians and secularists than they would the religious Jew.

  32. Sara

Haven’t been back since I was a child 27 years ago so for our family this is an amazing opportunity . and if we need to pay for kosher meals not a big deal and if we need to improvise of course we won’t travel on Shabbat…no big deal. Departing on a Wed
