No full-size rolling carry-on can fit on an RJ. They gate-check them for you.
Just one of the many reasons I try to avoid RJ’s like the plague…

Dan- what is an RJ?
Sorry, an RJ is a regional jet, its also known as a “barbie jet.”
They are manufactured by Brazil’s Embraer in a 1-2 seating configuration with 25-50 seats or by Canada’s Bombardier in a 2-2 seating configuration, typically with 50 seats.
They were inteded to rpeplace turboprops on 1-hour long flights, but can be found on routes as long as 4 hours.
They typically are all coach, so there is no possibility for an elite upgrade.
Technically the Bombardier is a CRJ, or “Tundra-Jet,” while the Embraer is an RJ, or “Jungle-Jet.”
The RJ is the more comfortable of the 2 planes, although that’s not saying too much. If you’re 6 feet tall be prepared to bump your head a few times!
