Get 250 Stars For Loading $10 To Your Starbucks Gold Card Via Chase Pay
From the Starbucks app just click Chase Pay as the payment method and then select the Chase card of your choice. You can download the Chase Pay app to select a default Chase card for Chase Pay.
Note that you can only use a Chase login that has no business cards. You will need to create a new Chase login for only your personal cards to use Chase Pay.
You need just 125 stars to get any size food or drink for free at Starbucks.
I loaded $10 onto my Starbucks Gold card last night and the 250 stars posted this morning.
After those stars posted I loaded another $10 to my card via another Chase card that I selected by changing the default payment card in the Chase Pay app.
I haven’t received any more bonus stars yet, but I’ll update this post if I do get 250 more stars.
Does it work even if I did this a few months ago?
Will it work for those who are not Starbucks Gold? I have 209 points. 91 more points until Gold.

Tried many times, on the app and online… No luck!
FYI, the email I received after the 250 posted said like 4 times that it’s one per user. I’d be surprised if a diff card works. Last time even the same card worked multiple times

Note: Chase Pay will not work if your Chase online account is a business account.
When I try to create a new login acct, it keeps telling me that the card is already registered and gives me the same login name. Does anyone know how to get around this?
Our system is unable to process your request, please try again later… That’s the message in the app
@pH: Simply call the number on the back of any Chase card and ask for all your personal accounts to be removed from your online ID. Then create a new ID using your debit card number and all your personal accounts will be in it.

All – FYI – I had the ‘chase pay is unavailable’. I called Starbucks and was able to get their CS Rep to give me the credit immediately without having to reload my card.
Caveat – it took me 3 calls – one to SBUX, who said it was a chase problem, one to chase, who said it was an SBUX problem, and a second call to SBUX. But the first SBUX CSR was a jerk about the whole thing, so YMMV

I also have a galaxy s5 and was able to add it with no issue. But I still didn’t receive my points. I wonder if it’s because I’m not gold.
My 250 Stars hit this morning at 4:30am and I loaded the $10 yesterday afternoon. Sweet Deal!!
My 250 stars also arrive the following morning.

I may have the answer for some of those not able to get this to work, like myself. Per the Chase Pay FAQs, Mastercards are also not eligible for Chase Pay! But the app doesn’t clearly tell you this after you try– it just kicks you back out and says it’s unavailable. Really bad. Hope this helps.
At this time, Chase Pay doesn’t accept business credit cards, business debit cards or MasterCard® cards.
