Dan, I believe your second point that free dates are valid on any car class is a little wrong. System is only showing until a certain level while more expensive ones are excluded, I also couldn’t find it anywhere as an official rule either.
Not all cars are available with free day vouchers. I’ve had EE for many years.
I’m a EE at national for the last 6 years, I live in NYC.
If you book early for your rental dates it’s always available up to the highest car class (excluding luxury vehicles). If you book the last minute it will not work always higher than executive aisle choice.

I have the Barclay M&M and tried getting PC through your link. Browser just keeps turning and turning. I tried logging into the reg. Hertz site and adding the CDP #1795034 as site instructs and it shows up as “MASTERCARD WORLD ELITE” but it doesn’t stick to my account and I don’t see my status has changed. Any advice?

Are you going based on the email they sent? In the email it looks like regular Emerald, but if you log in to your account online, it should show the Elite Status under your name.

I never really managed to have luck with National. They have been several hundred dollars higher or up to double the cost of the other rental companies offered.

Will Enterprise match this status without first having to get Hertz match? Looks like there is no National choice when you open the scrolldown menu. Are National and Enterprise not the same company anyway?
I chose Hertz President Circle in the dropdown and uploaded a screenshot of my National account displaying National EE status. I was given Enterprise Platinum Plus status (notified via email) about 12 hours later.

When they say they change your profile they change your account or contract to Amex which may have different rates. They replaced my corporate account with Amex and although I now can get exec aisle for 52/day that’s pretty close to what I paid for luxury car on corporate contract.
So I’ll use this to get stays upgrade at hertz and then if I can transfer account back without losing EE status.
Then again I usually rent silver at when I do rent, thanks to Dan. And I generally don’t rent a car since I almost always uber, again thanks to Dan!

As long as something (i.e. taxes) is charged to the card, then your credit card should cover you. Though I would call the card issuer just to be sure.

After you click the link and click sign up there is an option on top right to log in
Sign in first into your emerald club account on one (desktop) tab and then click the link in a different tab (while still signed in on the other tab) and it’ll update automatically.

When I first called and asked for the Loyalty team, the woman told me that she could help me, then after a few minutes explained that in order to upgrade to President status, I need to meet the spend or rental requirements. I told her about this program. She wasn’t aware of it and sent me to the Loyalty team.
I waited on the line for a while.
The woman told me that it takes 7 business days for the upgrade to be shown.
From their website after signing up: “Earn free rental days with National, you earn a Free Rental Day for every 7 rental credits”.
Seems you need 7 not 5 credits for free day.
With the EE status, you only need 5 credits for a free day.
I just signed in with the above link to my national profile,
I had the past year executive status (I’m a long time national Executive/Elite loyal customer) and i got updated immediately to Executive Elite status with expiration date of 02/22

When I got “Executive Elite” I also noticed that it’s valid through February 28, 2021. After statusmatching with Hertz, I realized that on January 1, 2021 when I lose Presidents Circle, I’ll still have Executive Elite so I can statusmatch again with the same Executive Elite status and then on March 1, when I lose my National status, I can statusmatch back from Hertz to National until the beginning of 2022 and so on and so forth for the rest of my life!

How do you use a new email? The first thing they ask for is a driver’s license number and then find the existing account.

I did this and last time I went to NYC I rented the cheapest midsize. When I got to the lot I was treated like a VIP and given the choice of either a Mercedes SUV or a Jeep Wrangler with all the bells. Pretty happy with national. And they happy stacking coupons all the time

I got ee through this link and it changed my account to Amex profile and I don’t have an Amex, so went in to my chase account and used the link from the reserve and it changed my account back to infinite discount but it’s still giving me ee status

I had an amex ee code attached which was giving me executive statues until 2022 so I emailed national last night after dan posted asking them to remove the amex ee on my profile and got an email next day from a rep saying it was removed so I then went and clicked on dans link to reenroll for executive elite and boom executive elite is on my account till feb 2023 thank you to whoever gave the idea to email customer service, in hindsight I want to know if that was a dumb thing to do
