Just like AA, enter your AAdvantage number and see how many miles you win!

Then post a comment to let us know how many you got!

Best of all they’ll extend the expiration of all of your AA miles for another 18 months!

You can get miles for your entire family all from the same facebook account!

Your AAdvantage miles will be deposited within 3 – 5 business days.

    Only 100 – gonna need to a lot more before I can ever use them. oh, and I am pretty sure they expire so who knows if I’ll ever get to use them.

  5. yehuda

  12. Sandy

    it’s not working for me. I clicked like and it’s not going. Any ideas? Thanks.

  13. me

    if i make a few advantage accounts, can i get the miles, and then combine them later on?

  14. james

    200. Anyone got more than 1000?

  15. Avi

    My wife and I both hit 100. I wonder who gets the 100k?

  16. Mike

    where do i type in my aa advantage number???

  17. Dan

    @Avi:
    I feel bad for whoever it is.
    If you win over 21,000 miles than AA will send you a tax bill!
    If you win the 100K be prepared for a whopping $2,750 form-1099!

  18. Yaakov

    200 – checked my AA account, and they haven’t posted yet. Anybody seen credit yet?

  19. DanUsesAMac

    I liked it but it only said “success” and no place to enter anything. What’s going on?

  20. Yosef

    @Avi:

    All I did was put my advantage number in and poof 5k!

  21. DanUsesAMac

    I unliked and reliked over and over but there is NEVER a place to put in my advantage number.

  22. B'H

    WOW!!!!! 50,000 !!!!! Thnx dan!

  23. whynot

    any reason why you can’t open more AA accounts and later merge them?

  24. Dan

    @mb:
    The minimum prize is 100.

    @whynot:
    When you merge them it will delete one entry out for being a duplicate.

  25. tax?

    what is all this with a tax bill? miles are taxable? how much do you need to pay on miles in general?

  26. Dan

    @tax?:
    You don’t have to pay taxes on miles in general (like from flying or with a credit card).

    However you have to pay taxes on contest winnings. And if you win over $600 worth of prizes in a contest it is reported to the IRS.

    In this case they are valuing miles at 2.75 cents each, so if you win more than 21,800 miles then the winnings will be reported to the IRS and you will have to pay taxes on the winnings.

  27. whynot

    does it say that in the fineprint/rules?

  28. Dan

    @whynot:
    Yes.
    I don’t think too many people will have to worry about winning 22K+ miles though!

  29. whynot

    besdies for this contest, what is a general value of how much each AA mile is worth?

  30. Yehuda

    100 – but as you pointed out, keeps my points alive for another 18 months

  31. MILES

    they dont have a SSN to report to IRS

  32. Dan

    @MILES:
    My guess is that they’re going to ask for it for people that win over 21,800 miles.
    YMMV I suppose.

  33. David

    100 Can you do it from 2 different accounts and put in the same AA number ?

  34. David

    To answer my own question. no you can’t A message pops up saying you’v already grabbed your bonus miles with that account!

  35. slimbo

    100 for me and wife and one kid 200 for another kid

  36. Lost

    Wher do i add my aa number,i already liked aa but it looked like it qas done??

  37. shmiel

    Just curious is it possible to dispute the value that they claim AA miles are worth? They are clearly not worth even close to that on the open market.

  38. smurf

    @danusesamc
    try disabling any adblocking software you have running.
    300 for me

  39. DanUsesAMac

    @Dan: Highly suspect that facebook works in every single other way but doesn’t for one singular application can be attributed to a Mac.

  40. Menachem

    If it doesn’t work then you should try deleting all your cookies(just go to the options tab of your browser) and then try again-for some reason on facebook you can only like a certain amount of pages before it maxes out on cookies just delete them and everything will work- it will not affect your computer in any way

  41. A.R.

    Myself and wife each got 100. I wonder if you get more for having more friends. We have no friends (not because we smell but are not facebookers).

  42. smelly

    @A.R.: If everyone smells then no one smells 🙂

  43. abby

    Where am I suppose to see the amount of miles I got? Is it a problem that I am using my bbry instead of a computer?

  44. BAHayman

    fyi for those that are having trouble getting it to load…

    “If the page isn’t loading, it might be because you are browsing via HTTPS! Go to your account settings and temporarily disable HTTPS under Account Security.”

  45. sam7633

    can i pay the tax in miles?

  46. repeat offender

    Do you think we’ll be able to do this again tomorrow or is it a one time thing?

  47. alce

    2X100, 2X200, 1X1000 total 1600
    thanks so much

  48. Wherrreee??????

    where do i put in the aadvantage number??????

  49. DanUsesAMac

    @Dan: Turns out it was the https setting. I checked through the comments on the AA wall and the CSR was telling people to UNCHECK the https whenever possible setting. I did that and got the place to enter my AAdvantage #. I got 100 miles and then immediately turned https back on.

  50. Bacc

    300, 200, 100
    I .had trouble at first but discovered the problem was lack of the latest flashdrive. Did it on another computer and it worked. Didn’t matter I had already LIKED AA

  51. Dan

    @Dan1:
    Not at all.
    The grand prize here is 20,000 miles. The 25K+ prizes are just booby prizes after paying tax on 2.75 cents per miles!

  52. schneur

    I tried to do it on my BB, I liked it but there was no were to put in my aadvantage #
    Does anyone know what’s the prob?

  53. daniel

    Can I do this for my two year old?

  54. Mary

    I got 100 – can you play more than once

  55. Goldmine

    I put in two AA numbers and it came up that they are not valid numbers? I double checked and they are right, why’s it not working?

  56. Mikey

  61. Leah

    100,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG OMG OMG!!!!

  62. Dan

    @Leah:
    On your computer keyboard click “prt sc” which is the printscreen function which takes a picture of whatever is on your computer screen right then.
    You can then open up Paint, paste the printscreen in paint, save the file, and email it to me.
    Congrats!

  63. Leah

    i can’t figure it out…………. there is no PRT SC in the options

  64. bosoxfan

    DAN: 100K miles X .0275/miles =$2750. In the highest tax bracket that’s approximately 2750 X .35 = 962.5, or 0.009625
    a mile. That’s less than one cent a mile, and can be sold for 1.3 a mile, so it covers itself.

  65. bosoxfan

    Since I assume most people here tend to be in the 15-20 percent bracket, the high mileage prizes are most definitely worth it.

  66. Dan

    @bosoxfan:
    You’re not including city and state taxes!
    Either way you will come out ahead winning 20K over 25K…

  67. adamSmiles

    me 100, jackpot for my wife!! 100k miles here we come…deal with the taxes some other time!!!! already posted to her AA acct

    I had this Problem: You see a blank page on the Mystery Miles tab.

    Solution: This is likely a problem with Facebook’s secure browsing settings. You’ll need to go to Account > Account Settings > expand the Account Security tab, then uncheck the “Browse Facebook on a secure connection (https) whenever possible” box, then click save. Then go back to the Mystery Miles page, refresh, and start playing! You can always change the setting back when your done earning miles.

    Problem: You’re trying to access Mystery Miles on a mobile device, like an iPhone or iPad.

    Solution: Most popular mobile devices have problems displaying Facebook page tabs, and both the iPhone and the iPad do not support Flash. You’ll need to try playing Mystery Miles from a laptop or desktop computer with the latest version of Flash installed.
