British Airways has 50% off Avios redemptions in coach for flights to or from London.
The sale pricing is also applying when I select flights that connect in London.
This sale requires ticketing by 12/17 and is valid for travel from 1/4-6/30.
Typically you never want to use BA Avios to fly BA coach as the fuel surcharges are ridiculous, but with this deal there can be some worthwhile uses.
You can transfer points from AMEX, Chase, Citi, or Starwood to British Airways. You can also earn 75K Avios by signing up for the Chase British Airways card. You can view credit card offers by hovering over the “Credit Cards” tab. You can click on “Top Credit Card Offers“ and then hover over “Card Type” to find card offers from the bank you’re looking for.

Cheaper if you book it as 2 one-ways.
Still a good deal when compared to redeeming AA miles on AA metal for that route. Equivalent to buying miles for about 1c each. (I just worked through the math on that very route for a friend).
ORD-LHR, RT, booked as one ways, off peak date, 13,500 & $510.31 total. This is hardly a deal. I am seeing BA Avios on BA Trans Atlantic more like a discount coupon than an actual “free” ticket.
Would you say this is a good deal? Or are there better?

1 ways 6500 and $178 thats better
There are hardly ever any awards available on flights out of TLV soi it just an annoying tease!

Is there a way to upgrade to either J or PE with more avios or cash after booking?
LHR to PRG I’m getting 4000 plus $32. Terrific for me to combine with Virgin’s 10K plus $110 from IAD to LHR.
Now to get home from PRG.
Booking PRG-LHR-IAD using this deal should be good, as you’ll avoid UK departure tax
