The United line connects to the old Continental.com support desk, which has very helpful agents who have the ability to waive the phone booking fee for itineraries that can’t be booked online. Plus there are rarely any hold times!

i called united on sun. night with call back had to wait 20 mins.Usually very fast but used to be faster with cont.

They got rid of the ability to have them call you without logging in with that form, but yes, that will work to have them call you as well.
Just had United call me about a TLV trip and the rep was shocked by how mant TLV calls they have received today 😀
wow dan, youve done it again! i tried calling ubited for the past few days but hung up b/c of the long hold time…i got thru here in a minute (although they werent very polite, i got my answer i needed so who cares)

i`m a (elite) premier member, tried calling all elite phone numbers old and new CO and UA everyone had a massage that the wait time is more then a 1/2 hour (even in the middle of the night)
but this worked awesome, got a phone call right away, put me on hold for 3 min. and a human answered

I know YMMV but I just called and made a iten change – no change fees.
@JB: update, I made 2 calls in same day to change the iten – still no change fees.
This method keeps giving. I called 800UNITED1 and got an automated hang up as call volumes were too high due to the weather. This number got me through in less than a minute.
Just used for the first time. Picked up right away. 1800UNITED1 said 25 min hold time.
Pls see if u can a quick call back from British airways it would be a great help happy purim
Used this in the past. Today i got the standard greeting “…bla bla…approxomite wait time 10-15 min”.
I have tried to use it on chrome and I got this error (issueGuiWebEvent eventtype=validatingtalkbyphone : ftcallid is null) but when I try on internet explorer it works fine
