What does it mean by downtown?
We need to drop off the car downtown?

Dan, I tried this in DC and it was excellent. In my case, the subcompact through full size classes cost the same, so the full size was a no brainer.

Also worth noting is that the USAA underage benefits did apply here too.

How old do u have to be to rent from Avis?

Dan, I just reserved Philadelphia, $19.99 + $15.87 surcharges/fees, airport to 30th Street. Would Uber be cheaper? (website currently says “unavailable” for Uber X and XL). Thanks!

@zow: You can take the Septa airport line train for much cheaper.

    Nothing from Lakewood I guess

You can just use this CV 022L4508 on hertz.com and it will give you $30 a day rate for a premium car and it works for one way rentals from Ewr-Brooklyn along with jfk and lga and local edition locations

I actually already did this more than 2 months ago.
They charged me for gas anyway and said there was no such thing as free gas rentals. CS also wouldn’t listen, even though I tried to give them the link on their site. So I disputed and received credit.
A few weeks later, Avis woke up and gave me a refund too 🙂
