@Dan/Ctownbochur: as a bochur in crown heights i used to take the long island railroad from atlantic avenue to just over the border between queens and long island (i think it may have been mineola, bh it’s too long ago to remember). sometimes they weren’t too happy about giving me the car at that price but i had already made the reservation online, they honored it. the enterprise was close to the train station and they would pick me up and drop me off there. the roundtrip from kingston ave subway station until returning with the car took around 3 hours.
It’s going on in Kingston, NY. Zipcode 12401 at the Ulster location. We rented a compact from Friday to Monday for $34.17 including tax. Includes 300 miles. Gas is .20 p/mile after that. Su-weet!
