You can get $10 off $100 of Visa or Mastercard gift cards from Office Max or Office Depot stores through 6/20.

Use your Chase Ink Cash Card or Ink Plus card and get 5 points per dollar spent. You can also check for AMEX Offers and Chase Offers for additional targeted savings.

$100 gift cards have a $5.95 fee and $200 gift cards have a $6.95 fee.

Some stores may limit you to 1 transaction, but some stores won’t have any limits at all, which would allow you to scale the savings quite nicely.

You can use the gift cards to buy money orders at Walmart or at various grocery stores and gas stations. Just use the last 4 digits of the card as the PIN number to cash them out.

Or you can donate the gift card to charity and get a receipt for the full face value.

Or you can give away a gift card as a wedding or Bar Mitzvah gift.

Or you can always use it for everyday spending while earning 5% or 5 points per dollar everywhere.

Money orders at Wal-Mart is quite iffy. Many Wal-Mart’s will not actually sell you money orders with gift cards as payment.

I have no trouble getting money orders at WalMarts and every grocery store in my area.

My Ink card has a Chase offer of 10% back! (Up to $8, expires in 6 days)
Perhaps you should add it to the post.

    Dan,

Recently; my local OD in Michigan (if I recall, I tried two stores) began saying that corporate policy is to only accept cash for GC’s. Makes no sense to me but that’s what they’ve said. Have you heard of this at all?
