Use your Chase Ink Cash Card or Ink Plus card and get 5 points per dollar spent. You can also check for AMEX Offers and Chase Offers for additional targeted savings.
The weekly ad states that there is a limit of 5 per customer per day, though the fee waiver should apply on up to 10 cards per transaction if your store isn’t a stickler for limits.
You can use the gift cards to buy money orders at Walmart or at various grocery stores and gas stations. Just use the last 4 digits of the card as the PIN number to cash them out.
Or you can donate the gift card to charity and get a receipt for the full face value while earning 5 points per dollar.
Or you can give away a gift card as a wedding or Bar Mitzvah gift.
Or you can always use it for everyday spending while earning 5% or 5 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per dollar everywhere!

Thanks for the post. I always want to do this but can never find a place to cash out my Gift card. Everywhere I try to buy money orders they tell me that they won’t accept Gift card, even if they accept Debit cards. Apparently it codes differently. Can you please elaborate on which places this can still be done?
I was wondering the same about the money order method.
I’ve been using Walmart to get money orders from the gift cards.
Some employees at Walmart did give me a hard time but I decided to write to Walmart.com and ask them about their policy. I now bring the email I received from Walmart and it’s been working for me. My email was in November of 2019 so you may want to send a new letter in case the Walmart employee claims that their policy has changed.

1 ultimate reward point is transferable to sapphire reserve which gives 1.5 cents per point for groceries. An effective 7.5% reward return (assuming you buy groceries)
