Staples is waiving the $6.95 purchase fee on $200 Visa gift cards through 11/17 in-store only.

Use your Chase Ink Cash Business Card or Ink Plus card and get 5 points per dollar spent.

You can purchase as many cards as your store will allow in one transaction and the fee will be waived. Some stores may have a limit of 1 while other stores may have no limits.

If you buy 10 of the $200 Visa gift cards you’ll earn 10,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points by charging it to an Ink Cash card. If you use your points at an average value of 2 cents each, then that’s like getting $200 back!

You can use the gift cards to buy money orders at Walmart or at various grocery stores and gas stations. Just use the last 4 digits of the card as the PIN number to cash them out.

Or you can donate the gift card to charity and get a receipt for the full face value while earning 5 points per dollar.

Or you can give away a gift card as a wedding or Bar Mitzvah gift.

Or you can always use it for everyday spending while earning 5% or 5 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per dollar everywhere!

Can you elaborate on how money orders are purchased with these gift cards?

Will it work for the amex offer of 10% off up to $100 at Staples?

    • joe

Yes, but with the RAT team out in full force these days and AMEX receiving level 3 data from retailers, you may need proceed with caution

      • metziaman

what is RAT team and LEVEL 3 DATA?

        • yosef

Rewards Abuse Team. Amex receives more specific data for purchases

Will sending money through sites like venmo or paypal incur a fee?

    • Emes

Tried today to load one of these Visa GCs to Venmo. Venmo did not allow it. And that was AFTER registering a card to my home address and phone, so I used my ZIP. Not sure if there is some secret ZIP code that would get it through, or they have some other way to tell it’s a GC.

No problem using it on PayPal, but you will incur fees unless you use it for a purchase.

For a change the Staples stores I went to this morning were all well stocked with these cards and there was no limit of 1 card. We’ll see if they are still available when I try for 25 more over the next few days.

    • Zal

They usually limit up to $2,000 of gift cards

Would this work to meet spend threshold on Hilton honored card?

    • Yitzi

Would meet threshold of any card

I had an awful experience with the staples mastarcard gift cards. I bought 2000 worth. 4 of them were compromised even before I opened them up and it took me about 8 months to get the money back dealing with fraud through the third party gift card people. Total nightmare. Beware….

    • Dan

That only effects the Mastercards, not the Visas.

Can you still add to Bluebird at Walmart with these cards?

Tried applying for the ink cash card and was denied because I had opened too many cards in the last two years. Never had that with any other credit card company….:(

  11. Lakewood Girl

Went to Walmart near Lakewood, they refused to sell me money orders for my Visa gift cards. Grocery store said no too. Any ideas how else to cash out? Thanks.

  12. Passaic

Anywhere to get MO for GC in passaic ?

  13. Work-for-ur-muny

Staples on 4th Ave. in Brooklyn limits to 1 per customer. Was enforced by my cashier. That answers why they had so many in stock…

The location for these on the gift card rack was empty, so I asked the cashier if they had any left. She asked how many I want. I said 5. Her response: “Only 5?!”
Now I’m feeling silly that I didn’t buy as many as they would tolerate.
