Nice tip! I was able to purchase and get the promo, and was even able to add the funds to my account.
But Starbucks would NOT let me combine the gift card balance with my main Starbucks card, even though I’ve done that with GCs in the past.
What does it say when you try to combine?

Seems as though I just needed to wait. I tried again a few hours later and it combined successfully.
I have had success in the past by taking the gift card to be added (printed out) into a Starbucks store and presenting my SB card. Usually at a Target store for convenience.
I ordered this card yesterday as a gift. It came through with a 0 balance and no additional gift card.
