FYI – I recently figured a way around the Add-on problem. I bought 1 add-on item along with multiple items from amazon pantry. The purchase generated two order numbers – one for regular amazon items and one for amazon pantry orders. I cancelled the amazon pantry order and the add-on order was unaffected and arrived in two days.

A great trick is also to order pre-order items…DVD etc than cancel

Its stealing other peoples money. AKA theft.
It may also get your amazon account flagged as they are away of such stratagems.
