@dan fan:
Look at the deal below for a color laser printer.
@rebate:
Not the same printer at all.
No wireless, slower, refurb, etc.
I have been using this printer for about 2 years and it is still going strong.
is its cartridge expensive? thx
IS IT WORTH TO GET THE 2 YR PROTECTION FOR $5.79 ?
Cartridges are about $18-20 each, and drum is like $50 (drum needs to be done every 18 months or so). here is a link to the toner i like to buy (been through 3 and all were quality): http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007HQW8ZU/?tag=cl03f-20
Sara, use your amex with protection and u get an automatic 2 year warranty (1 year plus amex)
FYI, if you print less than a few pages a month like me (coupons, rebates etc), a Laser is much smarter since the ink doesn’t dry in the heads like an inkjet.
Last printer I had was a $50 inkjet, the cartridge lasted around a year and printed less than 50 pages.
Lasers will not have this issue at all, so keep that in mind when buying a printer for casual use.
its also easy to get Chinese toner cartridges for color and laser printers much much cheaper than the name brands. I’ve had pretty good experience when buying them.
you get them on Amazon, make sure they are compatible with your brand and model #
@shiframeir:
I used my Amex Starwood card. I thought the Amex will double the protection.
If not, I wonder if I can still cancel the extra protection once it was ordered. Oddly, they automatically charged my amazon visa. Then I called to switch it to my Amex. They said the printer will be charged to the amex but they couldn’t change the other charge anymore.(With tax, it cost $6.30)
In for one. Thanks
@rebate: that one in staples for $49.99 is a cheaper model no duplex or wireless only usb
If you are a heavy user I wouldn’t buy it. My wife had this printer and it uses a ton of toner. Should be ok for a non business application / user however.
its 104 now
