Currently it seems like there is a price mistake on the Kindle 6″ E-reader With Wi-Fi And Special Offers. It’s normally $79.99 and is on sale for $49.99 for Prime members. The AMEX promo is only supposed to take $30 off e-readers, however if you clip the $40 off Paperwhite offer via this link and then add the black color Kindle to your cart, it will give the $40 Paperwhite AMEX promo despite it not being a Paperwhite tablet. That will drop the price to just $9.99 after $70 off!

I bought one last time for $9.99 and decided to use their offer to give me 25% of the value if I return it. They gave me $15 for my $9.99 purchase so I ended up buying the $119.99 kindle paperwhite currently in promo for $79.99, minus the amex discount of $40. $39.99 -$15 is $24.99.
Not sure I would ever get a better deal for a $119.99 Kindle paperwhite…

I enjoy reading on a Kindle e-reader. I get the books from the library. The NYPL has a pretty good supply of ebooks. The only downside is reading on Shabbos. For that I usually get the paper version from the library or just read a different book during the week from the one I’m reading on Shabbos. But I find the reading experience with the Kindle better especially with the Paperwhite and it’s built in light.

Got 1 for $9.99 + tax. Then, tried to get another one, separate order, and it’s reverting to the $30 discount, rather than $40. Still a good deal. Thank you!!

It’s normally $79.99 as you can see if you open it when not logged into Amazon.
It’s $49.99 only if you are logged in as a Prime member due to the Prime only sale.
It’s $9.99 with the AMEX promo and Prime sale.
So why is the Amex offer only giving me a $30 discount meaning its only bringing it down to 19.99 as opposed to 9.99

Okay guys I figured it out. In order to get the $40 promo as opposed to the $30 promo, only add the promotion for the $79.99 ($119.99 msrp) tablet and not the promotion for the 49.99 (79.99 msrp) tablet @Dan

Didn’t get the same promos as you. Was not targeted but still was able to get 2 of the $50 Kindle’s for $20 because of a “kindle promo”. $80 Kindle’s there was no discount, but did receive an additional $10 “bundle promo” when ordering $80 Kindle and $50 Kindle together (my orders were 2 of each, not sure that that’s needed though).
