At checkout select the Ultimate Rewards card that you linked.
You may need to click “Change” by the credit card at checkout if it’s showing a different default credit card.
On the final checkout page click on “Apply rewards points” and enter .01 to use 1 point to save 1 cent. Don’t redeem more than 1 cent as you’ll only receive a paltry value of 0.8 cents per point. They’re easily worth double that!
If you want to pay with your Amazon gift card balance, you can try adding a new Amazon gift card of any amount at checkout. Or you can try adding items until the total exceeds your gift card balance. You can then delete items from your card and it should use your gift card balance for the items you want.
You can also try clicking the promo activation button again and going to checkout.

Trying to link the Freedom Flex card, getting this message:
“We’re sorry, but something went wrong while enrolling your rewards account for Shop with Points.”
According to Chase, it is supposed to work. Amazon claims, however, that it might not work because it’s a Master card as opposed to all other Chase UR cards listed.

Same here. I tried and it didn’t work. When I checked the list of supported cards only freedom and freedom unlimited are listed. Not flex
