FYI – For those looking to get the $99 Best Buy monitor please note that it does not have HDMI. It has a DVI connection but this Dell computer only has HDMI and VGA outputs.

just go to dell.com chat and tell them your order got cancelled they will then try to sell you a lot of extras but eventually you sill get the desktop for the same price

Does customer care reinstate the order or are they transferring you to sales to place a new order. Customer care keeps trying to send me to sales.
Customer care told me that it was a price error. I should go back and place the order again at the correct price.

I ordered on the 19th, got my confirmation, didn’t follow up on the order until today, 12/8 when I discovered that the order had been cancelled, by Dell.
I spent over 3 hours on the phone with them, concurrently chatting with someone online, was transferred from India to a US rep then after being placed on hold again, the music just stopped when they hung up on me. Called back again, was transferred several times to various departments, and was told various excuses as to why they cannot help: need to order with monitor, configuration was not right, ordered through a deal site, needed to call back within 3 days, needed to call back within 7 days, was a special promotion. In short, I got nowhere. They are unethical. Dell sucks. I will never buy from them again.
