You don’t need a DVD/CD drive anymore, soon pretty much all computers and even cars will stop coming with CD and DVD players, i haven’t had a DVD player for 5 years now and you don’t need them because you can stream pretty much anything and store files with a usb stick.

This is a premium tablet/laptop product. Don’t compare it to a basic laptop running Win8 with no touchscreen.
And nobody uses a CD drive anymore. Nor do you need more than 4GB RAM.
