canon is discontinuing their entire line of printers which will make replacing ink more difficult. that’s why we’re seeing all these rebates and cheap deals on canon printers

Also, there will still, presumably, be generic ink and toners manufactured for these printers even if Canon discontinues them.
I have an old Canon laser that is at least three generations old and can still get inexpensive generic toner cartridges for it.
