It’s coming up with the shipping price added
@Dovber you need to spend $49.99 or more to get free shipping. That said, this qualifies for free shipping once you reach that point.
How do you get the free shipping?
@Dovber: Where you able to figure out how to remove the shipping?
the 20$ off on visa check out doesnt work!~
How efficient is this printer with toners?
Just got two for the office! THanks Dan!
If you have a staples rewards #, shipping is free.
The toners cost $78 +
Visa card pay is not working on my phone
Visa Checkout $20 off doesn’t work. Called Staples and they claim you can’t use it with any other offer (like the discounts on the printer…)
sold out
Is $9.95 shipping reasonable?
This is awesome. Shipping takes forever but still a great deal. Dansdeals is so appreciated on this end
@David:
Shipping is free if you enroll in Staples rewards.
To the confused, let me explain, this is 3 different deals.
1) The printer is on sale. The printer is good, but the toner costs too much, so think of it as a disposable printer. That is, if you print not too much, this is great, when the toner runs out, throw out the printer and get another. (Or just buy 2 right now.)
The printer costs $35 and $10 shipping. (And any applicable tax.)
2) If you spend $50 on staples.com you get free shipping. Purportedly, staples rewards (free program) gives it too. You can also sign up for email and text for other discounts, but those do not apply to sale items.
This means, if you buy one printer, the total (with shipping) is $45. It’s worth it to add $15 dollars, and have it cost $50 and just get free shipping (plus a little more tax.)
3) Visa checkout is running a special, $20 off when you spend $70. You must go to visa.com and sign up with your visa card (issued by any bank, as long as its visa.) Then, on the second checkout page and staples.com, choose the tab that says checkout with visa, and click the visa symbol to sign in to visa (via a popup.) This will immediately reflect $20 off the purchase if you have $70.
So, buy 2 printers (and something that costs a few cents, such as what Dan linked above), for $70 (plus tax) and get free shipping plus $20 off, making the 2 printers $50 (or $25 each.) This is a no-brainer, because without the deals, the single printer plus shipping would costs $45. This is $5 more and nets 2 printers.
FWIW, for me in Michigan, after tax, the total cost for 2 printers (and the extra item) was $53.28. Not a bad deal at all.

My mother needs a new printer, i checked dansdeals just in case and found this great deal sitting right near the top. Thanx Dan! It’s like hasgacha pratis or something.
@Boruch Tkatch: Both you and Dan said you can get $20 off $70. Why is it not working for me (and others upthread?) Two printers is $76.16 including $5+ tax.
I did use an Amex (VISA checkout says it’s ok and it will go through, just no discount is applying). Ordering $70+.
My local staples said the starter ink cartridge only yields 20-50 pages. Could that really be true? Customer service is closed; tech support doesn’t know.
I just bought 2 and it came out to $54. A whole bunch of coupons automatically got added to my cart.
@help re VISA checkout
I have no idea. Sorry. 🙁
Maybe try an actual Visa card? (You can see the discount before actually paying.)
thanks worked just fine
I am on the screen to submit the order and I don’t see the $20 credit for Visa checkout, do I have to complete the order for it to show up?
@Steven
On the submit page, there are two tabs. The second one is Checkout by Visa. When you sign in (via the visa icon in the middle) the prices on the left side will reflect the $20 discount. Note, this is _before_ you actually pay.
Yes I signed in the Visa checkout but it’s not showing the $20 discount
dan, or any1, is there any trick how to find filler items? ive needed in the past and always have a hard time finding!!
It all worked for me. 2 printers for 54.71 after tax (to NY) and Visa Checkout.
OOS Now
anyone else get an email on Friday oct 23rd that they cannot fill the order for this product! that they are out of stock! (12 days after it was ordered!)
Yes. I got the same email. Out of stock. Not filled
called customer service today. After speaking with an agent and then the supervisor they replace my printer with a brother. Model HLL2380DW. it actually looks like a better model (multifunctional) and they were able to do it for the same price after warning them that it sounded like they were doing a bait and switch.
