You can get $15 off $300 of Mastercard gift cards from Office Max or Office Depot stores through 8/21.
Use your Chase Ink Cash Card or Ink Plus card and get 5 points per dollar spent. Office supply stores never charge a fee for retailer gift cards, but these gift cards can be used anywhere!
Some stores may limit you to 1 transaction, but some stores won’t have any limits at all, which would allow you to scale the savings quite nicely.
If you buy 2 $200 Mastercard gift cards in store you’ll pay $398.90 including fees and you’ll earn 1,995 points by charging it to an Ink Plus or Ink Cash card.
If you buy a $100 and a $200 Mastercard gift cards in store you’ll pay $297.90 including fees and you’ll earn 1,490 points by charging it to an Ink Plus or Ink Cash card.
You can use the gift cards to buy money orders at select grocery stores and gas stations. Just use the last 4 digits of the card as the PIN number to cash them out.
Or you can donate the gift card to charity and get a receipt for the full face value while earning 5 points per dollar.
Or you can give away a gift card as a wedding or Bar Mitzvah gift.
Or you can always use it for everyday spending while earning 5% or 5 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per dollar everywhere!

If I cash it out will I get the full amount? Or they still take off a percent?
Full amount.
So I can get back more money then it cost and still earn miles?
Cashing these out can be tricky, but you can always use them anywhere at the full value.
How do I cash it out?
Do we need to buy some fillers in order to disguise the purchase, or is buying these GC totally legit?
Is the savings automatic?
No.
Legit.
Yes.
Thanks.

anywhere to do money orders in the ny area?
Any grocery stores and gas station in LA that sell money order please?
On the Office Depot website, you can purchase a $500 Visa GC for $505.95. However, it links to https://giftcardmall.officedepot.com.
Does anyone know if these still come through as office supply purchases? It’s not as good a deal as buying for less than face value, but if I am getting 5% back on my Ink, I am still netting $19.35 in net UR points above cost. ($505.95*5% = 2,529.75 UR Points – $5.95 Fee = $19.35.)
Considering the bonus is on up to $25K per year, I am highly unlikely to actually be able to max that out unless I am EXTREMELY diligent about chasing deals like this. If this works, it would be a relatively easy way to maximize my UR points.
Am I missing something?
I figured I’d give it a try. Unfortunately, it does not process as office supplies, so it only gets 1%. Oh well.
None of these gift cards have chips?
How is a money order done?
Just called my local office max and said there’s no such deal. Where can prove that this is being advertised?
