Any way to add the new backlit keyboard to my order?
Contact HP?
I am having trouble getting the discount for a 2 laptop purchase. I entered the code, do I need to do anything else?
I tried ordering this and it will not let me place the order. Is anyone else having this issue?
Why cant i add this to my cart?
I opened a chat with the support team. They couldn’t add it either. She said the IT team is working on it….
Thanks for the update!
same here – can’t add to cart.
Does it make sense to get the warranty with this?
the 3 year has a promo of 100% money back rebate if repair not used,
but u need to remember to claim it within 90 days of plan exp
Im no longer able to add any configurations to my cart
Same here. It doesn’t work
Base price is 579
If you switch the color to white ($20) you get the Backlot keyboard included.
Now 579
i put 2 in my cart but the price isnt going down to 471.99?
I am also not seeing this price anymore. I wanted to buy two but missed it.
Which memory option is the best? Sorry keep confusing the 2
There are no options, you get 16GB RAM, which is fantastic.
Which network card is best. My router is only n so probably doesn’t matter. Which of first two choices should I choose?
I’d take the Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX 201 (2×2) and Bluetooth® 5 combo for free
Anyone know which storage option is best for basic user
That just depends on how much local space you need for your stuff.
With an external hard drive, 256GB should be plenty for most. But the upgrade to 512GB is a good deal if you need that.
thanks dan got it
anyone want to split a 2 laptop order?
hows this laptop for video editing?
For serious graphics work like 4k video editing etc, you’ll want a computer with a dedicated graphics card. This computer has integrated graphics which while much improved in the last two gens of Intel chips, still don’t hold a candle to even basic dedicated GPUs.
Looking to edit my home HD videos.
Upgrade Screen FHD to FHD Touch Screen for +$30
$559 – 10% with Code: SMBHOL10 = $498.99
If I find a better deal on Black Friday or Cyber Monday can I cancel it free? They don’t shp out until the 25th.
Great question. I was on the phone with HP earlier, they told me if the price goes down all you have to do is call and they’ll refund the difference.
I’m not concerned about the price on this one going down. I want to know if I find a better deal on a completely different laptop. A lot of corners were cut on this one to make it so cheap. I would pay more for the same specs without all the corner cutting.
Good question anyone knows?
Does it have a DVD drive?
No. You can buy an external one. They offer one but you can find them much cheaper on Amazon.
What’s a DVD? (Kidding)
Correct me if I’m wrong but I think last years deal was still better….
https://www.dansdeals.com/shopping-deals/electronics/hp/hot-hp-15-6%e2%80%b3-10th-gen-core-i7-256gb-ssd-laptop-499-99-shipped-850-black-friday-savings/
1. In general, computer prices have gone up since last year.
2. The specs on this machine are much better than last year’s model. This year’s has a faster and newer processor with better included graphics, FHD monitor now comes standard, more RAM, better WiFi card and bluetooth, you can add $70 of upgrades for just $5 thanks to the better coupon, etc.
free upgrade to 256 GB Intel® SSD + 16 GB Intel® Optane™ memory
I’m not sure if that’s better than 256 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD.
Any experts want to chime in?
https://linustechtips.com/topic/758651-intel-optane-memory-vs-m2-pcie-ssd-sammy-960/
says here that they are equal
I am not an expert but this article explained the difference to me. After reading I think I will go with the traditional M.2 SSD
https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-difference-between-the-traditional-M2-and-Intel-Optane-memory
thanks, when asking HP they said the 256 GB Intel® SSD + 16 GB Intel® Optane™ memory is faster but maybe that rep is not knoladgable about this
Indeed m.2 is better
Anyone know? Looking to buy soon.
This is a great deal on these specs. Upgrade the wifi card for sure.
Intel Wi-Fi 6 for free or Realtek Wi-Fi 5 for $10?
Asking seriously here – why’d HP need to sponsor this, if it’s a product you’d likely post without their advertisement?
that way it stays pinned on top
True, definitely a deal we would post and it’s the best Black Friday laptop deal that I’ve come across!
But this way they lock in the top spot so everyone sees it 🙂
I hear that, but to be honest with you, I think there’s a negative that’s not being considered here.
When something is sponsored, many people will automatically feel that this may not be a great deal since it’s sponsored.
price went up by $50
price down again to 529
Just tried to order, is the deal still on?
I think the 11th gen integrated intel iris graphics are a plus compared with other i5’s and prior gen stuff out there. In for 1, thanks DD team
is this a good for graphics?
what is considered a good graphics card?
This has Intel integrated graphics which are fine for most basic tasks. But any heavy graphics work will require a dedicated GPU.
Is this good for running programs like adobe PS, creative cloud?
For basic Photoshop etc, it is going to be fine. But if you work with large files and do more intensive work you’ll probably want a computer with a dedicated GPU (and probably a more color accurate screen too).
Yes – it has a lot of Ram, and a powerful processor
this is a great deal but do your own research when choosing all the great upgrades; m2 ssd may be superior to optane for most casual users.
what is better about this model than
HP Pavilion Laptop – 15t-cs300. also i7, 16 Ram, 512 storage, higher original price, now $599?
This one?
https://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=7168&awinaffid=200929&ued=https%3A%2F%2Fstore.hp.com%2Fus%2Fen%2Fpdp%2Fhp-pavilion-laptop-15t-6wu81av-1
Also a great deal, though it has a last gen i7 processer, and the included screen isn’t FHD, so you’ll want to upgrade that. Also needs an upgrade to backlit keyboard. And it seems like the coupon in this post isn’t working on that model.
Just ordered! Got the backlit keyboard, WiFi 6 and added the free 16gb optane: Was $548 pre tax after using your 10% code. Thanks!!
Just not sure why WiFi 5 would’ve been +$10….
Because the wifi 5 also comes with MU-MIMO support
whats MU-MIMO support?
I see the series is just “HP Laptop (entry level)”. Any material diffs between this and Envy or Pavilion?
Did it go up to $579?
Back to $529!
What series is this? Pavilion? Envy?
Dose it have a warranty ?
1 year. Plus a 2nd year from most credit cards.
I would get this in a heartbeat but it only ships out on Dec 24! That’s too long to wait for a purchase (in the Amazon age)
It’s because they put together each laptop for your specific order. But it often ships earlier than the promised date.
Am I missing something or is an I7 with 16gb Ram SSD usually over $1k?
This is an excellent deal!
Do they have free returns?
Yes.
They told me 15% restocking fee. Can anyone confirm?
In my experience, that’s not enforced. YMMV.
If you have a card with return protection, use that as it would cover any restocking fee.
Good deal but are there any credit card discounts to HP . I think Chase last year was the real big deal on this one
Not that I see.
Wasn’t this $350 on Walmart yesterday?
Completely different laptop.
That was:
14″ vs 15.6″
720p HD vs 1080p FHD
core i5 10th gen vs core i7 11th gen
8GB RAM vs 16GB RAM
To name a few, also that is sold out now.
