Update, 5/26:
This fare is no longer available from NYC or Washington DC. It is available for limited departure dates in July and August from Atlanta, Boston, Baltimore, Miami, and Philadelphia. Most dates that are still left have long layovers in London, though that’s a good excuse to tour the city.
Click on departure dates in Google Flights to help find dates in business class that are priced around $2,000 before the $600 off in discounts via the link and offers below.
American Express is a DansDeals.com advertiser.
-Earn 3 points per dollar on airfare with the AMEX Premier Rewards Gold Card or the AMEX Business Gold Rewards Card.
-Earn 3 Avios per dollar with the Chase British Airways card
–Use this BA link for $400 off business class fares. You may need to disable ad-blocker.
Flights from JFK, Newark, Atlanta, Boston, Miami, Philadelphia, Or Washington DC are on sale for about $2,000 round-trip in business class on British Airways via London. That’s $1,600 after $400 off via the link above.
Sale fares are also available from other cities.
Outbound travel from the US is valid on most dates in June, July, and August and you must stay over a Saturday night in Israel. You can return from Tel Aviv anytime from June through April 2017.
Tickets are refundable for 24 hours from the time of booking by calling BA.
If you use a consumer Chase Visa and select flights operated by British Airways you can save another 10% off by using the following promo code on the page after selecting flights: CARDOFFERU
Sample itinerary:
Select promotion code on the page after selecting flights to use the 10% off code:
The sample flights above included travel on a 747 from JFK-London and a 777 from London to Tel Aviv. Both of those planes features lie-flat seating in business class.
If you fly from JFK and credit the flights to American you’ll earn 14,210 AA miles and if you credit the flights to British Airways you’ll earn 17,022 BA Avios.
From Miami you would earn 16,645 AA miles or 19,974 BA Avios.
–British Airways is running the same promotion and you can register for it here.
As this itinerary includes flights from JFK-London it should trigger that bonus as well, for a total of 39,210 AA miles/42,022 BA Avios from JFK or 41,645 AA miles/44,974 BA Avios from Miami!
If you use 40K AA miles for $600 of award flights (at a conservative value of 1.5 cents each) that’s like paying just $829 for this round-trip business class fare. 40K AA or BA miles are enough for 5 one-way tickets between NYC and short-haul destinations like Boston, Cleveland, Detroit or Montreal that go for just 7.5K miles each. 25K BA Avios is enough for a round-trip from LA to Hawaii and 40K AA miles is enough for a round-trip ticket from NYC to Hawaii.

I’ve completed the first leg by 7/31, but the return leg happened later, so BA refuse to give me the 25K bonus, although the T&C don’t explicitly say you need to complete both segments by 7/31.
Anyone else had better luck with such case?
I just booked (July 21, 2016) using the BA link and when I entered the code CARDOFFERU I saved $283!!!!!
Total cost for round trip JFK-LHR-TLV was 2547!
Thank you Dan!!!!
how do i credit the 17,000 miles to AA instead of BA? also if i only register now will i still get the 25,000 points?
I just booked this from TLV to NYC on Friday using the link…no coupon, but it was only $1200 each. The return flight is for Aug 31.
Is there anything left from Boston, Philly, or Baltimore?
I’m staying for a year. Will the return ticket work for that long? Any idea of what change fees will be? I’ don’t mind flying coach.
Thanks!!
@Dan: the voucher didnt work yesterday after 12, i booked anyway, is there a way to add the voucher?
The tickets i want are still available. In fact the price even went down
I used Chase Saphire to purchase my tickets- should I have used another card to get more benefits? Does the 40k AA miles come on to my card automatically?
how come when it came to paying there was no options of amex- only visa? u said that with platinum i get bk 3 points, but it wasnt anoption- so i paid with chase saphire. what will i be getting back?
my baby i bought an infant ticket? what bonus rewards do i get for him?
pls reexplain, so i booked 2 tickets for 1429 with my chase saphire. chase saphire offer double points on travel. so thats what i am getting ? or also getting AA rewards? how do i go abt it?
ho do i make my ticket should be 829? If you use 40K AA miles for $600 of award flights (at a conservative value of 1.5 cents each) that’s like paying just $829 for this round-trip business class fare.
???????
Regarding what AL said in comment 12, I’m hearing that some airlines do not allow lap children in business class. Maybe that’s what he was referring to.
@Dan: Thanks Dan. I must have posted my comment just as you were updating the post.
@Solos:
@Anonymous:
@N:
See the post update.
I’m trying to get 8/15-8/25 from NYC, and showing $2,839.03 per passenger including $1,034.03 in taxes/fees/etc. Am I doing something wrong?
@STeven:
Please can you help me its not working
Please can you help me its not working and i need tickets
@Dan Booked 2 tix for an 8 day stay with a 2hr stopover in LHR for a total of $1900 each in business! Amazing! Thanks, as always.
hi dan!
if I am flying with a infant, would he get the extra 25000?
@Boruch: how can u get the change for 250? When i tried to spend a extra week on way there they quoted 2k
could you get some similar deal only to lhr?
@ dan
ur right just not all dates sorry
@Dan:
Thanks
@Deal Guy:
This price is valid through 8/31, the 25K bonus is only until 7/31.
@mosh:
Yes.
promo still works?
@Dan:
Dan, the links seem to show that you need to book, AND TRAVEL NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED, by July 31.
Where are you seeing that the current promo works for August departures?
When I called ba they wanted a extra 4K to change the flight
@yehuda:
Works for me, turn off ad-blocker or use another browser.
@Boruch:
Nice!
@Chaim:
1/2 I don’t have personal experience.
3. As long as it’s on 1 tickedt, BA will take care of you.
4. It shouldn’t be a big deal.
@yanky:
See comment 162.
@e:
This promo works for August departures.
@noah:
Still alive.
bought two at 5 am when I got price alert
I think its dead now
Do these deals ever come up for Toronto to Tel Aviv – YYZ-TLV-YYZ?
I am flying in late august early september. Do you think there will be a promo again then. If not, which airline will give me the most miles for business class. It seems ill get about 17k per person on BA.
Hi Dan just booked 3 ticket thanks.
I’m leaving jfk and return newark. I add my aa act will I get the 25k or only half ?
Thanks again
Can it be used from Phila. Or JFK
To Tel Aviv June 27
Tel Aviv to London July 3
London to Phila. Or JFK August 3?
@dan is there a way on the way to israel to stay in london for a couple of weeks?
Dan I have these similar questions to sol but I see you never answered so I’m copy and pasting his questions. If you can answer them would be amazing. Thanks
Dan, I booked the way home TLV-LHR and LGW-JFK. Few questions.
1. Whats the best way to transfer between airports? Have you ever done it?
2. I see you said I would need to transport Luggage on my own, I did hear that BA has trucks that transport luggage between London airports If the entire trip is on the same reservation. Is this false?
3.If i get delayed in getting into Gatwick from Heathrow, Will BA accommodate me on the next flight, or will it be considered a no Show and ill have to pay who knows how much?
4.In your general opinion do you think it worth it or was it stupid to do this route with change f airport especially in London (king traffic)?
Thanks Dan for this Deal. I was about to Book Elal Eco for $1,300. yo saved me.
I called BA and changed flight to stay in uk for a week on my return and also changed it from LHR to EWR (instead of gatwick) on the new boeing787-9 all for 250$ #excited
the link for the aarp isnt working
@Baruch:
No.
@Quiqued:
AA.
Do I have to book it using my Advantage acc number to qualify for the AA platinum challenge or I can use my Avios acc mumber?
I x get the 400 off
Any discount if starting from tlv? Thanks in ad5
@yhung1e:
No, you can only stay up to 24 hours.
@mk:
One purchase is fine.
@Barry:
Yes.
@Nechama:
BA is better.
Also Iberia flights won’t work for 10% off.
@gg:
No.
Can i get the $400 discount if i book via a travel agent?
How does Iberia bussiness compare to BA? it is showing better times Also, since all returns require an over night stay in Lodon , how do I change the flight from London for the next day so I can spend the day there?
I keep getting a link to AARP discount. I am a member but is that correct?
hi if I buy 3 tickets with one purchase do I get for each ticket 40k bonus points after I fly or does it have to be done on separate orders?
Hi I was wondering if its possible to set up the flight to take several days in London, because when I do it through multi city it prices at 1800 should I book via the phone?
@CHAIM:
YMMV, I wouldn’t count on that.
@Bob:
I’d strongly recommend opening another account.
@Dan: I used the same AA number for both passengers can one acount claim both bonuses ? Or should I open up a second AA acount just for claiming the second passengers bonus? Thank you
I booked two tickets for my parents for August.
Thank you DAN!!
Trying to get specific flights that were available for the low price but no more available, do you think it will open up when people will cancel within 24 hours ?
@Pincus:
You’ll have the option of checking to London or Tel Aviv.
If I make a long stop in London will i have to recheck bags?
@Rans:
Some dates from SFO should be as low as $2,300. If you fly on AA from SFO they are able to check your bags right through.
@mike:
Weird, try calling them? Or enroll in the AA promotion.
@Anonymous:
No
@Abe:
That’s what BA does if you want a seat before checkin.
why are they charging to select a seat ?
@Dan: can i add a middle name to ticket from someone else and him earn the points ?
British Airways offer registration
Thank you, xxxxxx you are now registered for this offer.
Your registration has been unsuccessful, unfortunately you are not eligible for this offer.
this is what i get when registering on ba for the 25k promo @dan what do you think, was i registered? thanks for all you do
@Dans, much appreciated.
Yes, it would be $3000 after all discounts.
That’s not as sweet as $1450 + ~$400 to get to the starting point on the east coast.
I guess I’ll have to book 2 different tickets, and check-in again before I go on the BA flight from the US to LHR.
@Rans:
You can’t combine 2 tickets like that.
Did you check to see what the price would be from SFO-TLV?
Thanks Dan!
What’s the easiest way to connect a flight from/to SFO my departure point in the USA (say, MIA or NYC or ATL), and have it all in one booking?
Is it only by calling BA?
@how come:
For the 25K offer?
Just signup for the AA offer.
@dave:
You should be able to.
@e:
Yes.
@Moisheyb:
Works for me, just slow.
@yoni:
Not unless you booked yesterday.
is there a way to cancel my pricline booking to avoid the 300$ a ticket fee? i really want these tickts 🙁
Is the link down?
Is it possible to check the bags all the way through if I have an 11.5 hour day time stopover in LHR. a stopover isnt practical if I have to get my bags.
@Dan: so i can book this 10% off using the card for anyone?
i signed up they told me im not eligible for the
ba offer
@dave:
Nobody is asking to see the card.
@Markus:
Need to pay to signup for that.
Heads up. If you are flying after June 15, you can register and automatically qualify for AA Platinum status through January 2018.
my card says a different first name then my legal name, but the last name is the same, will that be a problem as they may ask for it to see about the 10% off for having the BA card
@Yakov:
So enroll in the AA promo.
@e:
Try another flight?
@Sola:
You would have to cancel and rebook.
@Sola:
No, you didn’t select business class (Club World).
@ji:
Enjoy!
@Bruce:
17K is the miles for the flight. 25K is a bonus on top of that.
@ji:
You need to choose one.
@Work-for-ur-muny:
YMMV.
@Anonymous:
No.
@Rachel:
Read the post for valid dates.
@hamburg:
100% false.
It’s YMMV, but it has nothing to do with that.
lets clarify.. if you are a chase ba cardholder you can use ane chase credit card …
Trying to book tickets for Sukkot time. I can t seem to get this pricing, can you help please!!
can i use someone elses aa
mileage number
see above comments. seems ymmv
If I sell these miles (AA/BA) can I get that amount as well? ($600 or so)
Will the 10% off work only if I have a BA card, or will it work with any Chase issued Visa card like the Freedom?
Thanks Dan!
Booked 4 tickets, with long enough stopover outbound in LHR to go sightseeing! About $1400 each ticket.
Now just have to figure out how to stay in Waldorf J-lm for cheap!
@joe:
On the way there its ok, but should be Hermolis on return London-NY, which is great!
@joe: Usually hermolis
see there site.
hermolis.com
how is the kosher meals on BA?
Got 2 middle August. THANKS!!!
Dan..Can you get mileage for BA and AA as well?
How come after signing up for 25,000 bonus its still only showing id get 17?
Booked 2 tickets for $2800 for July! JFK-TLV, Thanks Dan!!!
My booking confirmation has “World Traveller” as the class. Is that not the same as business class? My tickets were $1375 each and I thought I was getting an even better price.
I booked using Chase Sapphire Preferred, forgetting that my BA Visa is also Chase. Is it possible to call and have them change the method of payment to BA Visa for 3% Avios, vs 2% UR with the Sapphire?
keep getting Error Obtaining Price Quote
from 2 different browsers on several different pcs
Marriott Visa not working…
@Jacob: Its beyond anyones control for when deals come and go. Whenever i book a flight, i dont think about it anymore so i dont get all stressed about could have and should have thoughts. take it from me. These always happen
Do you have to have an Avios account for each person flying to receive the discount or is it enough if one member who has an account is flying to receive a discount on all tickets made together? Thanks!!
What a bummer. I booked awhile ago premium economy and now this is cheaper then premium economy. Called up to cancel and I cant.
@phill: From Philly they fly 777. from JFK it usually 747. They’re both great planes. See seatguru.com for all flights seat map and aircraft info
When I sign in to my ba account it say I am not eligible for the offer.
Are planes from philly not as nice as the planes from jfk?
Within 24hrs can I cancel online? Or do I need to call (and wait on hold)?
@Ari:
Nice, weird how it works for some but not others.
Perhaps it needs to be Visa Signature?
@Dan Worked with personal Chase Visa Signature Freedom
@montey:
You can’t. But TLV is better than LHR anyway 🙂
@Anonymous:
Seems ot be working for everyone else. What are you searching?
Try another browser?
@Dan: the 400 not coming off
@Dan
Thanks for clarification
This is crazy. SAN-TLV is $2600 before the 10% off. SAN-LHR is $8500 on the same BA flights!!! How can I get the TLV ticket without going to TLV?!?
@joe:
Doubt it.
@E:
Weird how it works for some, but not everyone.
@Sola:
Are you sure you booked business?
What dates?
@Ari:
Great, which Chase Visa did you use?
@Mord:
No, that ticket is good when booking award travel.
@Brian:
Nice!
@Sol:
Yes.
@yehuda:
You’d have to pay the penalty.
@sam:
You would need to transport the luggage.
@HAMBURG:
Seems to be YMMV.
@sam: I was literally about to ask that. Thanks for asking. I already booked it and now i want to know about the luggage transfer.
I payed $2800 for two people in business class.
JUST BOOKED 2 TICKETS JFK TLV …. NEEDS TO BE CHASE BA VISA
If the only return flight available is going from TLV-LHR and the connecting at Gatwick to JFK. Does that mean I have to arrange for transport of my luggage from Heathrow to Gatwick or just myself?
anyone have luck changing the last ba deal (with aarp) to lhr and getting it to goto tlv?
Dan, If i book this promotion booking now (11:15am) can you confirm ill have till tomorrow 11:15am to cancel with no penalty? Thanks
Last time you posted such a deal, you paid a BIG price (AA revenge to LON). Be careful!
Booked to TLV! Sapphire Preferred worked for 10% off.
Dan,
Have a companion ticket for BA for spending 30k.can I buy one ticket on BA with this offer and get the companion ticket and also get the BA bonus miles? Also comic this is possible, can I use the companion ticket for my daughter and husband?
Also tried with my Chase Freedom Visa, no luck, same message. Any ideas?
@Dan. Thanks! Booked using a personal Chase Visa. Appreciate your immediate response!
I was having trouble finding availability for 2 passengers. I made a booking for one passenger with a great itinerary, and it was only $1375! I went back and searched again and it was still available, so I booked it for the second passenger! I’m very happy, but also curious why it happened this way.
Is this valid to any other destinations? I’m planning a trip to Istanbul.
I have a regular Visa Sapphire and I’m getting the same “•This card is not valid for this promotion. Please use your BA Visa Signature card”
not available anymore you think i could try to call and add it?
@joe:
You would need to call to cancel and then rebook.
@miaflyer:
BA has no say on whether you may leave the airport or not.
Thanks dan! booked for shvuas i forgot to put in the 10% promotion code for ba card holders, what can i do to get it?
@Mendel:
I’d still interpret that as just needing to register before the flight.
@Ari:
Right, business cards have another format.
I’ll clarify my post that you must use a consumer Visa.
@miaflyer:
Of course!
@Lazer:
You’ll get half the bonus.
If I just book a one way will I get the bonus points?
will ba let you leave the airport on stopovers ? i have a whole day in the airport
@Dan Chase Visa Signature Plus – INK Biz.
@Dan:
“after registering sufficiently in advance of outbound travel, book and then complete qualifying flights by July 31, 2016.â€
@Al:
Round her birth year up.
No need to call, nobody is going to care or notice, I’ve done it dozens of times.
Dan,
It does t let me book a 2 year old seat since she will be under 2 on the way there. Should I change her birthday to book it and call them afterwards that was mistake on birthday?
@AJ:
It’s doable.
Can’t return on the 9th to Newark?
@Ari:
Interesting, my other Chase Visas have worked for this, what card do you have?
@Mendel:
It’s says period, not registration.
That just means it’s not good for flights that were booked before May 20th.
@Dan:
“after registering sufficiently in advance of outbound travel, book and then complete qualifying flights by July 31, 2016.”
“Existing bookings made prior to the promotional period do not qualify and this offer cannot be applied retroactively”
Trying to use a Chase Visa and getting the following msg: “This card is not valid for this promotion. Please use your BA Visa Signature card.”
Anyone else having this issue? Did I misread the post?
I can only get a returning flight on aug 7 or 8 if I transfer from Heathrow to Gatwick..Anyone every do that before?? The other flights are all 1500+ on those days 🙁
@Mendel:
Where in the terms does it state that?
@yaakov:
Not that I see. Up to 24 hours is probably the max.
Is it possible to do this with a 2 day stopover on return from israel?
There seems to be a major difference between the AA and BA promotions. BA requires that you register prior to booking, while AA apparently doesn’t.
@samuel:
Read the post.
@bob:
Each passenger would get the bonus.
@Dan: i meant for two passengers at a time
when is this bookable for? august til apr?
@EJB: I believe BA is swapping out the 787 at EWR for a 772 sometime soon. Not sure of the exact date, take a look at the equipment before you book your flight to verify.
@bob:
How do you book 2 flights together?
But yes, you would get the bonus for 2 flights.
hey dan if i book two flights together does mean i’ll get 80,000 AA points?
@Al:
Just “make” him 2 the whole way and buy a seat.
@JFKRobbie:
Enjoy!
Booked 6 tix for July from JFK, kids in for a treat on the UD of the 744! $1,429 each, with full extra day stop in London (arriving LHR in the evening, continuing to JFK the next night). Thanks Dan!
Dan,
What should I do if I have a baby who will be under 2 on the way there and over 2 on return?
It’s not letting me just buy a child seat for above age 2??
@EJB:
An upgrade one-way for JFK-TLV from business to first on an off-peak day would be 29,250 Avios and on a peak day would be 32,500 Avios.
I’m not sure if they would let you just do the NYC-LHR flight, but if they do then a one-way upgrade from business to first on an off-peak day would be 18K Avios and on a peak day would be 20K Avios.
There needs to be first class award space in order to do an upgrade.
Anyone want to try?
@Dates:
Read the post.
@Sir:
Yes, you can return anytime as long as you depart by 08/31.
@Sola:
Try booking 1 and see what happens.
Worst case you can cancel.
So sad – I find availability for 1 passenger for my dates, but for 2 it’s just AA/IB, no BA.
I understand that the outbound has to be June, July, August. Can the return be 6 months later?
What dates will this work for?
Upgradeable to First class with Avios, and if you fly from EWR you can try out their new 787-9 product. Anyone wanna check the upgrade cost? You could probably do it per segment and I know NYC-LHR is 20k.
@Sol:
http://www.dansdeals.com/archives/61695
@Zev:
Yes, all 747 and 777 are lie-flat.
@Lisa:
All BA widebodies are lie-flat, you can confirm on seatguru.com
Hi Dan,
Does business class give you abed seat or a regular seat?
How do i know if it is a lie flat bed? Do all 747 and 777 have it?
@Dan anything I can do with expired aeroplan miles? I have over 100,000
Thanks
@Rochel:
That’s when you use AA miles for award flights on BA, this is a regular dirt-cheap paid business class flight and includes all fees.
What about all the extra fees that are added on when flying british using AA miles? Or is that not an issue because this is not a millage ticket?
@hi:
This fare is only through August.
@Anonymous:
Yup, seems that way. Same for the 10% off.
@miaflyer:
Nesiah tova!
success !!! $1417 from Miami 8/17-8/23
@anon:
Right. Maybe AARP discount only applies to US departures
only works till august or available winter too?
@anon so book a cheap flight to JFK (Porter Air!) and stop kvetching. Dan is Da Man.
@Jake:
Yes, it posts as a 12.5K bonus for each one-way.
If I book 2 separate one way tickets will I still be eligible for the 25k bonus?
@Aaron:
10% of the full paid fare.
@Sam:
You should be able to change your mileage number on a site like Finnair.com or RJ.com
Or just call BA to change it.
@hvaces42:
Nice!
@high end hobo:
Expired 🙂
@Dan:
Dan you’re not an AARP member?
I think the magazine selection in your bathroom suggests otherwise 😉
And now BA is offering the same 25k bonus
How do I credit the flight to American if I book in BA website?
looks like flights from Toronto are not discounted
What would they charge for a lap child ?
@Sam:
I don’t think so, but you can try pricing a multi-city itinerary.
I did see some long layovers if you want to just spend a day touring London.
Can I stopover in London ?
@emak:
Yes.
@Anonymous:
Works fine for me and I’m not a member.
@Zev:
Passenger.
You can try pricing a stopover and see what happens.
@Anonymous:
It’s $500 or $600 plus the change in fare.
I wouldn’t buy it unless you know your dates of travel.
@Anonymous:
No. You just need a free AA mileage account.
@Dan: the 39,210 bonus miles that you get don’t I need a aa advantage card to claim that?
@Dan: I don’t know I didn’t check , I wonder is it possible that it would cost more then 600$?
We are 5 people.The 40k miles earned, goes to the flyer or 1 person can get them all (I will get in my account 200k)? Also, can you stopover in London for a few days ? Another city also works ?
@mia flyer:
Do you actually need to be an AARP member to get that discount? I used Dan’s link but it prices as before – even though the page was titled AARP.
you cant get the deal on american …looks like its only showing up on ba
Awesome just booked. Using Visa BA card getting 3x Avios (better for my purposes than 25k on AA). EWR flights also available. Seat selection option is expensive but in biz class who cares. Great catch thanks 1e6 Dan.
How long do i have for free cancellation? 24 hrs?
@Yehuda:
No.
@Mike:
There’s no need for an AA card, I don’t know what you’re talking about.
@Yoni:
Yes.
@sam:
I’ve added a screenshot to the post.
@Anonymous:
If it says $600 then it’s $600.
@Dan:
How much would be the max for a change fee ? Up to 600 each ticket it pays..
i dont see an area to put in the promo code for 10%. were do you put it in?
I just booked a flight from Priceline last week. 2 tickets round trip for 2,300. Is it with it to cancel that ticket and purchase this?
But I want to g@Dan: but I want to get the bonus miles which is amazing! So I need the card since I’m coming from jfk 39k bonus 🙂
Is one way half the price?
@Confused:
Try another browser or flight?
@Al:
If you buy a seat, why not?
Otherwise you’ll need to pay a lap child fee.
@David:
You can, but changes aren’t cheap, read the fare rules.
Dan can book now an then pay for a date change fee ?
Can you take an infant in business class?
Getting the following error message: “Error Obtaining Price Quote”. Any idea what the issue is? Is the deal dead?
@Mike:
You don’t need an AA card for this deal.
@Joetraveler:
Not at any good rate.
Does this offer allow redemption of Avios for further discounts?
Hey dan if I don’t have a AA card now and I apply today and open it up can I still make this deal happen and get the bonus 40k miles?
@Dan: ðŸ™ðŸ»
AARP discount?
@Yehuda:
Of course.
Would I get the mileage bonus as well for having a status?
@Sam:
I’d have said if it did 🙂
Do you know if this might work from TLV to NYC? Any tips?
Other direction work?
