Chase Hyatt Visa Signature Linky
After your first purchase you will get 2 free nights at any Hyatt in the world! This can be worth over $2,000 at top-tier Hyatt hotels!
-There are no blackout dates or capacity controls on Hyatt award nights. Plus there are no taxes or resort fees on award nights with Hyatt!
-There is a $75 annual fee.
-There are no foreign exchange fees with the Hyatt card.
-You earn 3 Hyatt points per dollar spent at Hyatt properties and 1 point per dollar spent elsewhere.
The Hyatt award chart is pretty generous for upper-end hotels. The Andaz West Hollywood is a category 4 for 15,000 points per night. The Andaz Wall Street and Park Hyatt Buenos Aires are category 5 for 18,000 points per night. Most Park Hyatts are top-tier category 6 hotels for 22,000 points per night. Compare this to Starwood where ultra-luxury top-tier hotels can cost anywhere from 30,000-80,000 points per night.
-If you do not currently hold elite status with Hyatt at the time you apply for the card you will get Platinum status for free. This gets you free internet on all Hyatt stays, free room upgrades, expedited check-in line, late check-out, bonus points on every stay, platinum extra bonus points every 3 stays, guaranteed room avaialbility at all Hyatts worldwide among other benefits.
-If you hold Platinum elite status with Hyatt at the time you apply for the card you will get 2 free confirmed suite upgrade certificates that can be used on any paid stay to upgrade a standard room to a suite for up to 7 nights each.
-If you hold Diamond elite status with Hyatt at the time you apply for the card you will get to use the 2 free nights that come for signing up for the card in a suite instead of in a standard room.
Hyatt also holds exclusive promotions for Hyatt cardholders. Currently, for example, Hyatt cardholders get 15K bonus points instead of 10K points after 5 nights.
Many of my favorite hotels in the world fly the Hyatt flag. Here are some of them.
-Park Hyatt Paris: Lowest July 27th rate: $894.
An incredible boutique hotel by the Tuileries Gardens and Opera metro hub with an intoxicating fragrance, amazing personalized service, and an underutilized little spa. As a Hyatt Diamond member they bought us a lavish kosher breakfast spread daily as well as a bottle of kosher champagne. Amazing location for an amazing hotel, and one of the highlights of Paris itself for us.
Complimentary wining, dining, and gifts from the Park Hyatt Paris.
-Grand Hyatt Kauai: Lowest prepaid non-refundable July 27th rate: $424. Lowest refundable July 27th rate: $517.
A stunning hotel with ocean views, lush landscaping, and serene surroundings on my favorite Hawaiian island. The pools meander on forever, there are caves hidden behind the waterfalls in the pools, there are hot-tubs hidden all around the property, and a sandy artificial lagoon that is massive. Oh, and there’s a beach as well. And an excellent Grand Club. The prefect place to get away from it all for a week.
A drop in the bucket of the acres and acres of empty flowing pools at the Grand Hyatt Kauai.
-Park Hyatt Sydney: Currently under renovation for reasons that I simply cannot understand but had an average daily rate of more than $1,000 before the renovation.
The finest location for a hotel perhaps anywhere. Tucked away in The Rocks right next to the Sydney Harbour Bridge with stunning views of the Opera House and the Harbour. Just a short walk from the Circular Quay Ferry, Bus, and Rail transit hub. As a Hyatt Diamond member they bought us a kosher breakfast spread daily as well as a bottle of kosher wine as an amenity. The personalized service is second to none here, you’re greeted by name and asked if you would like another fruit basket when coming in from a walk. When our airport shuttle drove away without us the hotel immediately hired an Audi on their tab to take us to their airport.
Park Hyatt Sydney, the Sydney Harbour, and the Sydney Opera House, taken from the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Runner-ups: Park Hyatt Melbourne, Park Hyatt Zurich, and the Hyatt Regency Maui.
There are still many dream Hyatts I have on my list. Park Hyatt Tokyo and Park Hyatt Buenos Aires are definitely up there. But I’d really love to get my own personal overwater bungalow at the exclusive Park Hyatt Maldives.
All of them are included with the 2 free night promotion. My wife and I both got Hyatt cards recently and as Diamond members we now have 4 nights to use in a suite at a Hyatt of our choice!
See this DansDeals forum thread for more Chase cards offers you can apply for at the same time (3 chase cards, 1 credit hit!) and for reconsideration numbers and other FAQ’s.
Do you get points or hotel stays?
Can i sell these stays???
@Qwerty:
You get 2 free hotel nights for opening the card. You earn points for spending on the card.
The 2 free nights from the credit card are officially for you, but you can call Hyatt after booking to add someone else as an additional guest on the room and they can checkin and checkout without you.
Point award nights can officially be used by anyone.
Have you heard anything about the hyatt aruba? Room rates there are always high
Are there any expiration dates for the free stays or suite upgrades? Don’t stay with Hyatt much but would be awesome to have these around in the future.
Hi does the two nights for opening the card work for the Maldives bungalow you mentioned?
Dan, I need a new cc soon, which is the best available now? Should I wait a bit? Thanks
Is this free 2 night each year or just one time
Is this something different than what was posted a while ago?
@Az:
Looks nice, what about it?
@Mike:
If you make your first purchase on the Hyatt card on 07/01/11 the free nights will show up within a few days online and they will expire on 07/31/12. You get them and they expire based on when you make your first purchase, so you can get the card now and wait a few months to make your first purchase.
So if you make the first purchase on 09/10/11 the nights will expire 09/30/12.
The suite upgrades on paid stays will expire 02/28/12 and can be applied by then for stays in 2012 or 2013.
@Fan of dan:
They do work in the Maldives. The property there has 50 bungalows, most of them with a private pool or overwater. As a Diamond member you should be able to get an incredible room there-I like to email the property before going there to see what kind of upgrade can be arranged.
@dr:
Best? That’s a very general term. I suppose the Starwood AMEX for regular spending though if you don’t care about massive signup bonuses.
@shmendrick:
It’s the first time, although rumors have it that Hyatt will introduce a renewal benefit for subsequent years as well.
@nitantel:
Sure, now everyone can easily become Diamond and get the free nights in a suite via the Hilton match!
Hey Dan, I followed the link to sign up and it says that you need Hyatt Gold status in order to sign up for this card… any idea what that is about?
@Ari:
I’ve added a link in the post to signup for a Hyatt Gold Passport account.
Thanks
Yes but they have no hotels in Israel, had to go to Taba arghhh!
How does one become a diamond member?
It seems that the card comes with a annual fee.
If I were to cancel the card after the first purchase will I still be able to get the free rooms for 2 nights or a suite?
@intrigued:
Read the post right above this one.
@Abe:
Yes, you don’t lose signup bonuses for canceling a card.
I just signed up, I hope i get it!
thanks
do they have and nice hotels in israel?
were can i find a list of their hotels?
when does this offer expire?
Dan – I am planning on doing the temporary diamond status via the Hilton Gold match, but curious how you personally maintained diamond status? Is it something that can be done easily without a ton of stays or cash outlay at the hotels?
I was turned down by chase for having “enough cards already ” .I had downgraded the previous cards after promo period to avoid second year fees..Do you keep cancelling cards in between offers top be able to get new promotional cards with other airlines/hotels?
@krutm:
See this forum thread for the Chase reconsideration department number: http://www.dansdeals.com/forums/index.php?topic=8028/
They can easily shift credit lines from old cards or close down old cards to get approved for new cards!
Dan when you went to the PArk Hyatt in PAris did you have to call in advance for Kosher breakfast? Whats the routine?
ANYWAY that i wont need to pay for the annual fee if I cancel the card within a year?
YankyDoodle, you will be charged the annual fee the first year.
This comes with platinum status- is that just for one year or lifetime?
I just got it after about 3 weeks! Plus the chase guy said i can cancel the card and keep the 2 free nights. Thanks DAn and mazal tov!
I was targeted for a first year free HYATT card, but then had to argue with them to get accepted since I already have 8 chase cards
