So I purchased one of these tents expecting either the product or a cancellation due to a price mistake. I wouldn’t expect some compensation if it gets canceled but I would expect an honest reason as to why. This product was available as of this post in many local Dick’s Sporting Goods. I chatted with the company and they said the product is no longer available at any store. This is less than 24 hours after this price mistake. There was no mention of price mistake but simply it is unavailable. This is wrong. Basically playing dumb to avoid admitting your mistake. Like I said, don’t give me the tent for $20 but at least be honest. And the CS agent said “buy directly from the field&stream site”. Thanks for the help!

Got lucky enough to purchase and pick up before they cancelled them.
And what may I ask will you all be doing with this tent?
I placed an order, got an email that its ready for pickup and 10 minutes later got another email that the order was cancelled. I called their coporate number at 877-846-9997 and asked if they can honor their price mistake, they took my information and half an hour later they called me that they will honor it and I picked up the order at the store eith no problem.
Worth a shot to call them….
Any chance calling the DOT will get them to honor the price?

I placed an order for an item at a price. I should receive the item at that price, regardless of the reason the item is that price. Once I purchase the item, if it is cancelled I should be compensated. Some people on this thread seam to not understand that.

I was able to get the order place on the store. They guys said “You got a great deal on this price mistake, but we will honor it”
Great for upcoming camping trip of 8 people in the Oregon wild.
Also about people saying “no compensation” haha, we live in a world where we feel that we need “compensation” for anything. We all want to receive but we forget to give.

I was able to complete an order for pick up in store but just received an email canceling the order because of availability. Any way I can force them to honor the price when it shows up in stock again?
Called the store ahead since online order wouldn’t go through and they honoured it and put tent on hold to be picked up today. First store wouldn’t honor but second store I called did. Tent in hand
Spoke to a store here in NJ and they told me that they were told to pull it off the floor until price was corrected.

Based on the price for a similar tent, i assume they meant to sell it at $199.98. These price mistakes are one of my favorite things to see here, thanks Dan!
It off stick and no option for in store pick up although I called a couple of stores and they have it in stock.
Anyone know if dicks will give store credit or compensate some other way if they cancel the order?
