  2. Gila Sulimanzada

    I’m a touro college student i tried installing but it didn’t work

  3. gl

    didnt work for mercymavericks:(

  4. dina beck

    Touro has all five licenses offered to students, and it just takes a bit of patience for the desktop version to finish authorizing. mine was temporarily on until it finally authorized yesterday. i am working on getting it as an ap now.

    thank you Dan!

    touro, try logging into your touro portal, which will lead you to your email/email adress. or perhaps, call or email your campus’ secretary.
    Good luck!

  5. Touro

    I never use my student email… how can I find out what it is?

  6. Benjamin

    @Gomer
    So how do you know wether or not your institution has purchased the annual site license??

  7. touro student

    @Touro:
    my touro email ****@student.touro.edu does not work any ideas what to do

  8. Dew

    As pointed above it doesn’t work. Worse, it screwed up my installation of a previous Office version. Microsoft is evil never trust them.

  9. Gomer

    I work in the field and you guys have it wrong. This is simply a self-registration option that Microsoft just introduced for the Student Advantage program that’s been around for a while. It is only valid for organizations that have purchased an annual site license. If you find one and manage to get it work and are not affiliated with the organization, you are just installing a bootleg copy of Office, same as if you borrow discs and do an unlicensed installation.

  10. DM

    Was anyone able to fully install it?
    Does anyone know the product key?

  11. Ben

    @Anonymous:

    Well the first thing I would do is try to come contact the academic support at the institution of choice. Ask them what the incoming mail server for your account is. That may help.

    No good for Israeli or Canadian schools, seems

    Yay nova.edu! Thia is fantastic!

  14. dina beck

    yes, however, you can still get the online version, even on a mac.

  15. dina beck

    Check under licenses to make sure your institution has all five licenses, namely the latest version of office desktop

    if you have all five, you may have to set it up separately under office 365: your account: settings. or: https://portal.office.com/OLS/MySoftware.aspx

    (if you cant get to the proper place, play around in Google search with these keywords because i could not find anything in help addressing the problem in Microsoft. )

    Good luck!

    Tried with my @alumni.fdu.edu and its not working 🙁 nor @californiacolleges.edu

  17. Sad Student

    @Rob: Yea, I had the same problem. Not really sure what thats all about though.

  18. Rob

    i signed up with two different school email addresses. it lets me download the programs but then when i load them it tells me the account associated with XXX.edu isnt associated with this office product and wont load it. anyone seeing a similar problem?
    thanks!

  19. csun student

    I’ve tried csun email and didn’t work. Any luck with csun emails?

  20. Judith H

    This works with the free alumni email addresses that colleges and universities give out. so you do not need to be a student just have a .edu email address

  21. Confused

    I don’t understand. It says the offer is for teachers too, but the offer is only if the school already bought licenses for staff/faculty”
    “In order to be eligible for this benefit, the student must attend a school that has purchased Office organization-wide for all faculty/staff via the Microsoft Volume Licensing program.”
    Does this mean that an office pro plus license would be upgraded to Office 365?

  22. J

    @Shuey: One drive is already on my comp (comes with windows 8.1) but it won’t let me switch my log in to the office 360 one.

  23. Shuey

    @J: Why do need to change the login of Office pro? just download onedrive and login to that.

    From the fine print:

    How long can I use this plan for?
    If you are eligible, you can use the plan until you graduate or are no longer enrolled at a qualified school. Student eligibility may be re-verified at any time. At expiration, the Office applications enter a reduced-functionality mode, which means documents can be viewed but it isn’t possible to edit or create new documents. In addition, online services associated with the school email address, for example Office Online and OneDrive, will no longer work.

  25. J

    I already have office pro and don’t want 365 but want to upgrade to the 1tb one drive offered. Any ideas on how to switch the sign in on my desktop to the 365 version? It doesn’t seem like the 365 login info works for linking to a desktop one drive.

  26. amira

    downloaded it but it asks for the product key or offers 30 day trial and i used a yu.edu address
    how do you register it?

    @Ben:
    can you explain that one? How do i know what my server is?

  29. Dans the MAN!

    Dan is this a trail version for a year? or download once and have it forever?

  30. Shaul Yaakov

    It works for mail.yu.edu addresses.

  31. Touro

    Works for Touro college! Nice

    Thanks Dan

  32. Ben

    Just a heads up. Be careful how you enter your email. You may need to know your server. At first I tried my usual email I give out (*****@ucsd.edu) but that didn’t work.

    So I put in the full server name (*****@sdcc17.ucsd.edu) and it accepted that.
    This won’t be the same for any user, just though I’d share what worked for me.
