El Al announced today that they will waive the change fees on tickets that include travel to or from anywhere in Europe during March.

You can either change a ticket now for travel through July 31st, or you can just freeze your ticket and decide what to do with it later on.

While change fees are being waived, any difference in fare will still be applicable.

Any chance of getting a waiver for a flight from the US if I have a ticket to Israel for a family wedding (ie a gathering of over 100 people who have not been in Israel for 14 days) that I may no longer be able to attend? Flight is ElAl but booked through Chase UR.

What about EasyJet Israel to Venice?
They have a good website, that doesn’t allow you to cancel and I gave up trying to get them on the phone, after 2 hours each day for 2 days in a row!!!

Does this include flights between NY and Tell Aviv? Does El Al consider Israel to be part of Europe?

      Officially only northern Italy.
But you can always call if you’re uncomfortable flying and ask for a waiver.
