How do you have a sale when you no longer publish the regular price?
Excellent question, but Delta claims to have discounts on thousands of domestic routes and there’s no doubt that award space is now much better than American.
Awards need to be booked by 1/13 for travel at least 21 days in advance.
Sample one-way award rates:
-NYC to/from Chicago or Fort Lauderdale: 5K
-NYC to/from Pittsburgh: 7.5K
-NYC to/from Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, or Vancouver: 9.5K
-NYC to/from Bermuda or Nassau: 10K
-NYC to/from Portland or Seattle: 11.5K
Post what deals you find!
This is still available! Booked for 8 ppl for NYC to FLL for 80k.
If you’re flexible for Pesach, you can fly Wed, Thurs or Friday before, with returns on the day after Pesach for 10k round trip!
Thank dan! I had 50,000 delta sitting for 5 years, never had anything to do with it. But thanks to you I just booked NYC to FLL 5 round trip tickets! Would have never believed that I can do this with my delta. Thanks again!

DELTA AND AA
@brad: Depends on Status. PLT & Dimaond can cancel for free…others have a fee
Close in American is better than Delta, though. Delta may as well go straight revenue.
I booked JFK-ORD earlier this week for 10k. Was a good deal as the ticket was $217.
Nothing to detroit
whats the cancellation policy on award tix
Looking to fly from nyc/phl to edmonton. Does anyone know if there is any airline that flies nonstop?
Thanks Dan! Actually found a better price for the same flight on Chase Reserve, which I have you to thank for as well!
Couple interesting ones from New Orleans to Atlanta and to NYC.
MSY-ATL: 7500 miles
MSY-JFK: 10000 miles
Basically 20 percent off to JFK and 40 percent off to ATL. Most of the others appear to be normal pricing from MSY.
How long can I cancel the trip for if booked with miles?
Shrek! I can’t remember the last time there was anything good for us CLE people. Oh well, I guess we could always go to metroparks.

@Moshe: HOW?
Did you find any 5k for Chi-FLL? The lowest I find is 7.5k.
Darn, tried for LA-Vancouver in May and it was 33,000 miles per person. You got my hopes up! 😉
@AA award space sucks: How is their service overall? Although their miles is worth almost as much as the Venezuelan Bolivar, the published fares are usually the cheapest (besides for Spirit of course).
Anyway to get MR over to delta without paying all those transfer fees?
@Dan
No comparison to hybrid points costs for this post?
That was NYC to FLL.
Tried on flexible schedule for the next six weeks (starting in 22 days from today -the cheapest was 10,000 miles EACH way
@Dan:
It’s closer to key west
