Save 20% On Marriott Gift Cards

From May 11th though May 17th you can save 20% on gift cards directly from Marriott.

On the sale page you can select a $50, $100, $250, $500, or $1,000 gift card. If you enter an amount by yourself you will not receive the 20% off, the discount is automatically applied at checkout.

On mobile phone browsers you will have to select “Browse Cards” to see all denomination gift cards on sale.

Limit $5,000 per person per credit card per day.

Purchases on Marriott cards like the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Consumer Card, the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant Consumer AMEX, and the Marriott Business AMEX will earn 6 points per dollar spent.

The Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant Card comes with a $300 annual credit for Marriott spending. Officially that excludes gift cards, but as I have mentioned in the past, it has always worked for me and it earns 6 points per dollar spent.

AMEX has also announced that you can use the credit for dining and restaurant delivery between 6/1-8/31, so you’ll have to decide if you want to lock up the $300 in gift cards on sale or on restaurant food.

As the gift card posts as a travel purchase, you would also be able to get reimbursed from the purchase from the Chase Sapphire Reserve $300 travel credit or Citi Prestige $250 travel credit.

eGiftCard Delivery Date should not exceed 3 months from date of order.

Select from these denomination gift cards on the sale page:

Will you stock up on gift cards for future travel?

Does anyone know how to use the gift certificate? I am trying to pay for a reservation and gift card is not an option. When I look up this topic on help, I get the response of calling the hotel. Does this mean that gift cards are not useful for the best, prepaid rates?

Anyone try the Arrival card and see if it works?

@Dan Whats the conversion from Marriott to United ?

Does not pay to buy these. As priceline will most of the time have a better rate then Marriott. The only upside could be for the fees you need to pay when booking with points.

In addition, You dont get credited for a stay and are not eligible for upgrades or club access unless you book direct

Does this work to pay for taxes and fees on marriot cc free anniversary nights?

Only concern is whether these will be worth anything if Marriott goes into bankruptcy. With so many hotels shuttered right now and with lower forecasts for business and leisure travel, I wouldn’t be surprised if that happens. Gift cards are not always protected in bankruptcy proceedings.

They just sold a billion dollars of points to AMEX/Chase. They’ll be fine.

Is this Marriott Getting a loan from customers? Charge today, wait 3 months for delivery

Do gift card purchases get bonus points on Bonvoy credit cards?

  13. dd

also what sort of international conversion fee to use abroad? thanks

    • ktc

this is critical if you intend to use them overseas. unfortunately there is no definite answer, even if a ‘policy’ states one way, local facility can still do it a different way. you can challenge it but its a pain.

Does this work for the $300 credit on the Brilliant card?

    • Dan

It worked for me last year. Try and let us know.

      • ktc

Would be great if so, it’s getting additional 25% value + 6X points . I guess buy max of $350 (fixed at $250 + $100) for $280. Better find out how much Brilliant credit is available.

Do we still get the 6 points spend on Marriott Credit card? Thanks
