Chase previously sent out offers to upgrade from the old Chase Marriott card to the new Chase Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Credit Card. Those upgrade offers ranged from 0 points to 50,000 points.

Several DDF members are reporting that they were able to send a secure message to Chase asking to be matched to the 50,000 point upgrade offer and they got approved for the match. If you’ve already upgraded at a lower offer, be sure to send in a secure message from the Chase site or app to ask about getting matched to the 50,000 point upgrade offer.
Note that the annual fee on the new card is $95 instead of $85, but the new card offers more points per dollar spent and it offers an anniversary night valid at hotels that cost 35K points per night instead of just 25K points per night.
Tried it this morning and got denied. They mentioned that you have to be within 90 days since your upgrade to match. I took the 10k offer when it just came out in July.
Can this be done on the business card?
They told me that the new card does not have trip insurance and the old card does.
That might not matter to some people but it’s a significant difference.
Is it more likely to call them for 50k before upgrading? They have offered me 20k but I didn’t bite yet.

I need 3 more nights for Platinum. I plan on earning them with the “1 credit towards Elite Status for every $3,000 in spend” benefit. Is that also on the new card?
No, the new card doesn’t have that benefit. That’s why I have not/am not upgrading to this new one.
I had called earlier today. He told me that the business cards were automatically upgraded to the new version. He’ll just deposit 50k into my account and there’s nothing further I need to do.

Called Chase. Told me that I am not eligible for the offer since my marriott card is open for less than a year

One worry i have, it states,
“Coming in 2019, receive 15 Elite Night Credits each calendar year. Restrictions apply”
I’ve already been credited 15 elite nights this year from the regular Chase Marriot. Due to the language im afraid they will remove the 15 nights and i wont re qualify for platinum.

I SMed and was told I would get once I actually upgrade. I clicked on marriottrewards.com/upgrade and was shown the 50k offer.
until when are they offering this upgrade?
Other than one purchase when we get the card, is there any other minimum purchase required to get the 50,000 points? Thanks
