Ritz Carlton Reserve is finally joining the Marriott Bonvoy program. Previously those hotels weren’t available for earning or redeeming points.
Ritz Carlton Reserve hotels are highly rated, smaller, more boutique versions of Ritz Carlton hotels. There are currently only 5 of them worldwide:
- Mandapa, Bali, Ubud, Indonesia
- Higashiyama, Niseko, Japan
- Zadun, Los Cabos, Mexico
- Phulay Bay, Krabi, Thailand
- Dorado Beach, Puerto Rico, USA
You can now earn regular Marriott base earnings, elite earnings, and an elite points amenity at these hotels. All Marriott members will receive free Wi-Fi.
As with other Ritz Carlton hotels, free breakfast for elites does not apply. Additionally, elite upgrades do not apply at these hotels either.
Ambassador elites do get a unique benefit though, a $150 resort credit.
- The Mandapa has rooms from 80K-120K points per night, with the 5th night free. Paid rates here are about $800-$1,200 after tax.
- The Higashiyama has rooms from 80K-112K points per night, with the 5th night free. Paid rates here range from about $500-$1,500 after tax.
- The Zadun has rooms from 122K-200K points per night, with the 5th night free. Paid rates here range from about $1,300-$3,000 after tax.
- The Phulay Bay has rooms from 80K-120K points per night, with the 5th night free. Paid rates here range from about $500-$1,500 after tax.
- The Dorado Beach has rooms from 163K-240K points plus a $150 resort fee per night, with the 5th night free. Paid rates here range from about $1,300-$3,200 after tax.
You’re unlikely to get any incredible redemptions, but those are better values than I would have expected. The points rate doesn’t always correlate to the paid rate, so there are certainly some opportunities for some good values.
Will you book any Ritz Carlton Reserve hotel stays?
but you cannot addpoints to certificates like IHG points can.
